Question:: when u do the front post crochet, why is the last stitch a double crochet?? I want to make this for my hubby.. he recently cut his hair and this is his first winter with really short short hair.. hope I can make this.. Love the pattern.. Hi there! Actually the previous row it's a row of sc (American sc). You have to look 2 tows below to find the dc where you'll be working on (American dc, treble UK). You alternate a row of dc, a row of sc. I hope it's clear now! Give it a try, this beanie looks great on men 💜🧶

2/20/22 - just found this tutorial. Great video. Clear and easy to follow. I love the typed sizes you included. I especially like the closure you did. It made a very nice closure. I’m looking forward to trying this but as usual I’m in the middle of a project. I feel like Dori from from Finding Nemo lol “ch 100, db crochet to……oh look at that hat pattern I need make that”

I love this pattern but I don't quite get what you mean when you are sewing the beanie first from the top then go down to the band and then you say go back up are you going back up with stitches along the same way you came down ?
