I love this pattern and just started it this evening. Your instructions are clear and concise. I making the hat for 7 year-old boy. The circumference of the head is 53, instead of 56. Can you tell me what diameter width l should use instead of 46 to 48 cm, please?

Hello. I’m working on this right now. According to video you are repeating two rows over and over. And both rows all stitches are through the back loop only. However, in the written pattern some rows state through the chain. So that is 4 different rows. 2 rows through the back loop and 2 rows through the as written ch I’m guessing no back loop on those stitches? Please clarify if it’s a 2 row repeat or 4 and if some rows are not through the back loop. Ty

There are 4 rows to repeat. All through the back loops. Just the very first one (on e only )you work in ch

This confused me when reading the pattern then watching the video seeing this. If everything is supposed to be blo besides the first row, why are rows 3, 5, and 7, not written saying blo? If I didn't check out the video, I would have followed the pattern but still done it wrong from what it's actually supposed to be.
