Looks wonderful. I cannot get over all these really nice restaurants in Tennessee, there were so many of them. For decades we traveled to many tourist towns moatly along the coast from the state of Maine to the tip of Florida through the 80s and 90s and most of 2000s until about 5 years ago when I develop health issues probably from some of the food I was eating 😂. What I am noticing that has changed in 5 years is the prices seem to have doubled. Because we used to eat really nice fancy breakfasts and they used to be like $6.99 to $8.99 and now you guys are paying double that almost. Many people could not afford that. Everything did look really good! ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻✌🏻

You guy's are my favorite reviewers! And, you know when you don't here from me, somethings up. I share a garden each year with a friend. We started a month ago expanding the size to a 20'x50'... 6 types of tomatoes, 5 types of peppers, okra, cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, melons, silver queen corn, etc. I love giving away fresh vegetables. Yes that was indeed alot of food in the skillet and I love their waffles I got the waffles with cut up bananas and caramel sauce but the fruit that I got was not fresh there, the griddle cakes aren't my favorite but I love the atmosphere in there with the fireplaces but my favorite breakfast place is Log Cabin close to the space needle thanks for the video we always enjoy them, we can't wait to visit in a few months, God Bless

Good morning John & Bobbi. Another great review. Well Bobbi’s waffle with the Fuji apples looked amazing with the eggs. I am not a sausage person but I love well done Bacon also so I would of enjoyed some of the bacon. The home fried potatoes and onions would of been a favorite of mine with the breakfast. The ham looked so delicious too! The pancake was huge and that would of really filled me up just eating that alone. I love that your meal came out in the cast iron skillet. Really cool. When John was talking about Apple Butter I thought oh we have it here in Lancaster County Pa but you knew that because you later mentioned that we have it here in Amish country. Have you guys ever been to Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse Pa? You can definitely find Apple Butter there and there are lots of cool shops and a few restaurants there. I love rustic cabin in the woods decor feeling and cleanliness . Boy, extensive menu options. John’s meal was plenty for two people. Bobbie’ waffle looked good as well. I make a list of restaurants you review and this will be added. By the time I left the Smokey’s, I would be as big as the 🐻! I certainly would need to walk around Gatlinburg to burn the calories plus I would hope I had time to do the attractions! 😂 Did you ever think about going to Ocean City, Maryland for their annual Spring or Summer Festival? I enjoy going there every chance that I can. All the hard work you do to put out the best in great from introduction to the end. I love the slowness that I can pause to view the menu, pick what sounds good to me but I never get served! 😜 My best friend lives in Hurricane, WV. Have you heard about that area?

Do know where that area is at. We have gone to Ocean City for Elvis Festival but never filmed it. Glad you enjoy how we edit. We use a lot of inside shots to show you the whole insides if we can without disturbing people. The menu we have always gone slower than most because of what you said. We want you to be able to read it. Appreciate the comment about hard word because I don’t think anyone realizes how long a creator spends on editing. This video took me 5 hours to edit and add all the music you heard. Glad you enjoyed it😎😎

Hi John and Bobbie first of all I like that music in the beginning of your video with the fiddle playing. Is that a popular song in the South because I’ve heard it before only in another KZbinr video? That restaurant is exactly what i imagine would look like in the Southern U.S. and that huge skillet outside was a great idea and suited the restaurant perfectly. Love these good old Americana places and hope they will always be there.❤️

Love Crockett's Breakfast Camp! Large servings which us part of experience! Bobbie love the Cinnamon Candy Apple waffle with whipped cream , scrambled eggs, and the spicy sausage. John's BIG BEAR SKILLET has so much great food! Ginormous pancake. Grits, 2 over easy eggs, grits, the hash browns with alot of onions, the biggest slice of sugar ham I've seen, sausage links, big smoked piece of bacon, big biscuit with sausage gravy.! That is a big skillet!!! Homeade which I love!!! The Cabin Decor was wonderful. I would get both just to have leftover food to take to the Hotel!!!! Eat Bobbies meal at the Camp then take John's back to hotel for leftovers from the fridge. Heat it up in microwave and have another great meal in the morning!!!!

We did eat them on way home from from Pigeon Forge in Virginia. They were both very good. We don’t have a restaurant for almost 2 1/2 hours from our home. We have Popeyes. When those came out we would have done them if we had a restaurant close. Great suggestion though. Thanks guys for watching and commenting😎😎

Y’all should go visit the David Crockett Park in Lawrenceburg Tennessee. I live in Texas now but I’m from Lawrence County and as long as I can remember they had a Sunday buffet in the park at their restaurant. It’s country cooking. The upstairs restaurant has huge glass windows all the way around it on three sides and you can sit there and eat and look out at the lake. When there’s more people than the upstairs restaurant will hold they open the basement restaurant and it has its own Buffet. They don’t get the view but they get the food. They also have a theater in the basement and down the hill from the restaurant there’s an old grist mill outside of a log cabin and also in that same building is a museum and they have a video that a person can watch about the history and there’s a lot of artifacts in there too. They have ducks and geese at the Grismill creek and at the lake and people can feed bread to them. They used to have boats that people could get in and they’re paddle boats and a person could paddle across the lake and back.

@@jbinthehills if you do go to Lawrenceburg Tennessee, you might want to check out the Van School of Music Museum as well as the Old Jail Museum. And there’s a small log cabin just off of the square in Lawrenceburg that has some artifacts from the Davy Crockett days. It used to be free to go in it and look around, but I don’t know if it is nowadays or not. Also, if you go in the old jail museum, you’ll probably see a picture of the, old Pleasant Garden Church, and cemetery, which was the oldest church and cemetery in Lawrence County, but someone burned down the church when I was a young woman. But the cemetery is still there and I have relatives buried in that cemetery as far back as my great grandmother and that’s where she went to church and that’s where her children went to school. Dolly Pardon visited that church and cemetery in her early days of her musical career. She was touring and wanted to stop by there with her bus and look at the oldest cemetery in the county, But there should be a picture of the church in the old jail.

My husband and I arrived this afternoon and I think we’ll give Crocket’s a try this week. I’m a huge fan of Pancake Pantry 😊 so it’s my first go to in the morning. We are staying at the HoJo per your recommendation and the only disappointment is that we couldn’t get a front balcony room this trip, but can’t win them all.

The thickness and the crust on the outside of that pancake looks as if they baked it in a small iron skillet in the oven. And that’s probably why it tasted like a cake. It looks really good and if I were going to make one that thick that’s exactly the way I would do it in the oven but I would make sure the iron skillet was just a little bit hot and greased first, hot enough to kinda give it just a little bit of a sizzle when the the batter is poured into it, then pop it in the very oven and let it rise quickly. That would give it more of a cake texture.

Perfect music! Lol. Loved the review. But we've been to Crockett's twice and both times it was a TON of food but we thought it was mediocre at best. So we tried the cinnamon roll and it was fair at best too. The best cinnamon rolls in town are at Olga's Yodel Cinnamon Rolls (try the S'mores!!!) and if you want a Crockett's type breakfast go to Five Oaks. Identical food & portions minus the wait time & owned by the same company. Comparing the Pantry to Crockett's is like apples & oranges, it depends on what type breakfast you want. The Pantry has fabulous food & you can tell by the lines how good they are and you can tell people love Crockett's by the line out front too. They're easily the top two in town but totally different. (Next time in the Pantry try the French Toast and thank me later. Lol)
