Previously the retirement visa stated you had to show the lease agreement on the property. PLUS, you had to employ 2 indonesian nationals, PLUS, not only did you have to have INDONESIAN health insurance, but you also had to have Indonesian life insurance...???? I know you touched on the $3,000 in the bank, but i'm sure when they recently amended the retirement visa, they stipulated a minimum monthly income, and that figure was above what one would receive on the Australian aged pension...????

These weekly episodes are fabulous. I'm personally really sad Bali ever changed the retirement visa from 55 to 60 as I'm 51 and my husband 53. So we need to look at other ways as we plan to retire to Bali in 2-3 years. It's so helpful hearing these correct details and what they can organise or us, we will now go through this couple for a different type of visa. Bring back the 55 year old retirement visa please Bali 🙏🙏🙏

@Kebenaran-3694 ай бұрын
Wishes do come true sometimes: The 55 has just been brought back in the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Regulation No. 11 of 2024 which amended Regulation No. 22 of 2023 - the one that raised the age to 60 - but the income and guarantor/security deposit requirements remain the same. The new regulation, which came into force on the 1st of May, amongst various changes to the 2023 Regulation has also newly introduced 60 and 180 day multiple entry visas but they don't seem to be in the eVisa system yet.

What happens after the 1 year? Do you have to re apply? Do we we have to leave? Can we we live there full time with an Australian pension? Is there an ongoing cost?
@MurrayWilkinson17 ай бұрын
That depends on your circumstances. Veterans can receive a pension overseas but I am not aware of the australian requirements so that would have to be checked from your end. You have to reapply for your visa at the end of 12 months but the costs are much lower and can be done from Bali.

Wondering what the rules are for "same sex" marriages, where one spouse is 60 and the other is say 50? Does Indonesia accept the "legal" marriage of a same sex couple from Australia? Might be a good topic for another video.
@MurrayWilkinson18 ай бұрын
Being a predominately Muslim country I don't think that is an option here
@Ecosse-uz4yh6 ай бұрын
Indonesia only recognises a marriage between a man and a woman and soon it will also be illegal for unmarried couples to live together as 'husband and wife' although - in theory - a parent or child has to lodge a complaint for a prosecution to occur. It doesn't have specific laws against same sex relationships except in Aceh province, which operates under sharia law and flogs those who get caught, but it's very much frowned upon and sometimes prosecuted under vague public decency laws.

I would love to also say. Anyone thinking of doing a visa or Kitas always use an agent. I pay 900 Aussie for Kitas and it is worth it. Again I was told I can use Medibank cars not Medicare lol. But bpjs is awesome but be careful bpjs does not. Cover you for an accident in car or motorbike or surfing etc
@Kembali-16076 ай бұрын
As others have commented below it’s wrong to say that you only need to show $3,000 in your bank account up front and not a monthly income. The latest law - the Regulation of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number 22 of 2023 About Visas and Stay Permits - specifies in Article 61(2) that an ‘elderly foreigner’ visa applicant (they don’t call it a retirement visa) must provide quote: ‘proof of income or allowances with a value of US$3,000 three thousand US dollars per month’ (bukti pendapatan atau tunjangan dengan nilai US$3.000 (tiga ribu dolar Amerika) per bulan.) That is unequivocal. The old law used to require proof of having either an income of US$1,500 per month or US$18,000 in the bank for a one year visa (I had a C319 retirement visa for two years under that law and had to supply the proof up front then again at the renewal) so it’s ludicrous to suggest that immigration now accepts that a tourist can live for a year on US$3,000. The new law also no longer mentions medical insurance, employing an Indonesian, having a lease or providing a letter about not working but Medicare Australia has reciprocal agreements with 11 countries and Indonesia isn’t one of them so if medical insurance is indeed still required by another law and they’re really getting away with that, plus also not proving the monthly income, then something very shady is going on. Also they don’t mention that a 5 year ‘elderly foreigner’ visa is available (under Article 62 of the new law) with the same conditions as the 1 year option but - because it doesn’t require an Indonesian guarantor as the 1 year option does - in addition you have to deposit US$50,000 in a State owned Indonesian bank as an immigration guarantee (but can’t touch it as long as you stay in the country or even get the interest on it - that goes to the State). I would be looking for a more knowledgable consultant to interview if I was you because - as someone rightly commented below - this one doesn't pass the pub test..

Hello Murray thanks for all great info U share with people ... I must say I am a little confused more so since your KZbin .. I ok I have kitap and. On old system but. My agent who I sent many people to who is also Australian owned and also my wife family who do visa are saying diffrent to them as I know from personally experience. U must give 3 months proof of income not 1. And 3 agents told me it 3000 USD per month over 3 month so I not sure what is true now. Officially .. I know it has always previously until December 2023 U had prove 3 month income each year and most current. Months statements .. also you must have proof of insurance but after 6 months we can convert to bpjs Just feedback. As I said I no expert never claim to buy I do know it was 3 month of statement even for me in December and I got few neighbours here and I ask they all have to do same. .. maybe your mane has a secret way .. but it also says 3000usf on website not Aussie dollar
@MurrayWilkinson18 ай бұрын
I'm sure he said 3 month of statements with minimum balance of $3000 USD. Might be different if your agent sponsors you
@MarkChappell-xk6eq7 ай бұрын
Hey mate no he said specifically 1 month only even U. Questioned him saying U thought differently also he said 1 month show 3000 but it is 3 months 3000usd .. but with new. Kitas retirement if U have 40k in bank don't need a sponsor also. And bpjs is only for basic medical does not cover for. Accidents in cars on bikes surfing etc. Only normal health so it is slightly. Wrong. Sorry mate. Just thought I mention. As way he spoke I think was little misleading or confusing but please keep up great works so much good info you are putting on here I love you posits I don't mean to be difficult.
@Salt_in_her_hair7 ай бұрын
I’m right there with you. I don’t mean to be difficult and I love Muzza’s posts and thought this was excellent! I just want to get all the facts straight. @whatsupBali said it was USD3000 per every month, as income. Since it a a huge different between just USD 3000 in your bank account to proving USD 3000 in income ever month I think it’s important to get the facts right. 😊
