Can’t wait, Cindi! We’ve known each other a long time and you have always been an adventurer and a strong person. Ill never forget the times we road motorcycles and explored the woods we were so lucky to have. Let me if there’s anyway I can help with donations, a sounding board, or just friendly support. Go get them!

I have watched a lot of hikers thru hikes and I agree that you will have more challenges than most on the trail. Also, from what I observed over the last 4 years...What I think you will also have more of, is support from the hiker community (fellow hikers, trail angels, plain ole ordinary folks) Janet, Hiking the Planet is already carrying extra water for you, lol. I have witnessed the most amazing acts of kindness from these people, I know this is what will help you complete your hike and WHEN you get to Jersey let me know if there is something I can do to help you reach your destination, it would certainly be an honor.

Not boring at all - inspiring. Thank you for sharing, I’m glad I subscribed. I’m looking to attempt the AT in 2023 and what you’ve said puts my trivial worries into perspective. Good luck.

I can’t tell you how welcoming your message came here. I too am a Remicade Crohn’s survivor! My husband wants to hike the AT but my disease has always kept me from doing a lot of things I’ve wanted to try throughout my life. I will be watching you closely to see how you manage getting infusions and just dealing and maybe I’ll get myself on that trail with my husband. Best of luck and take care of yourself you got this!
@thatsamazinggrace95122 жыл бұрын
thank you for the kind comments ❤ are you getting infusions now? the medicine itself is tough on the body! I am meeting with my doc in February, hopefully we can work everything out! I'm pretty nervous about everything, it seems impossible but I'm going to try my best anyway! we will see. hang in there my fellow crohn's sister! 👊

You are an inspiration…. one I look up to! I cheer for you on trail and alway pray for you. I’ve had 3 bowel surgeries and 3 back surgeries due to my Ankylosing Spondylitis, which is also autoimmune. You’ve given me what I need to continue to train for whatever I can do next year. Thank you… I’m not ready to sit down✌️❤️.

You are awesome and an inspiration!!! I’m so glad this showed up in my uTube feed, I have UC…was diagnosed 22 years ago, I’m on Humira. The AT is a goal/dream. 💜
@thatsamazinggrace95122 жыл бұрын
wow, I was on Humira at first and I think it works well for many people. unfortunately, I built up antibodies to it so had to move up to remicade. Continued good health to you, hopefully we will both get to do the AT at some point!
