You are the first doctor that when you explain your patients symptoms I can relate. I had numerous bad experiences with doctors so I’ve taken care of my health naturally by eating clean and taking quality supplements. The past two years I’ve been under extreme stress and have developed chronic inflammation.

Great case study- I can imagine as a college student how challenging that strict diet must have been for the patient. I have colitis, since about 24 yrs now 52. I have been on entyvio for about three years and have been in complete remission. I’ve never tried diet only therapy but currently I stick to mostly low carb, Mediterranean diet.

He is one of the rare lucky ones. I also have IBD but do not respond to diet and supplement changes. I have tried all these supplements before but found that biologics are the only thing to work. Glad he is doing okay but hope he gets monitored with his scopes and keeps up his regular GI appointments. The years I tried to do all natural landed me at 80 lbs on my death bed too many times.

Great video! .. as always Dr Jin. Btw, why didnt you prescribe Butyrate ?
@otakudinosaur85689 ай бұрын
It's a good question. I believe that his gut repair formula probably has butyrate or prebiotics which was why it wasn't mentioned.
@hroyuy72099 ай бұрын
@@otakudinosaur8568nope the gut repair formulas usually have stevia leaf, glutamine, marshmallow root, aloe vera leaf.. You need to order butyrate separately

Only Drs on YT and those writing books can say things the Drs accepting our health insurance can't and won't (aren't supposed to) tell us. However, please follow your Drs instructions after "informed consent" is given. They are following pharmaceutical guidelines more than treating you like an individual. If you have IBS, colitis or chrons you'll get a script not diet advice. I tried it both ways... after pharmaceuticals destroyed what was left of my health I decided to ditch my own Drs advice and eat a healthy diet. That was the catalyst for my body healing. Good luck!

What specific GI test did you use?
@tayc67269 ай бұрын
Why wasn't a test for food allergies completed prior to putting the patient on the restrictive diet?
@DrJinSung9 ай бұрын
Sometimes testing for food allergies/sensitivities will give you false positives and false negatives especially in the acute phases. Food testing is not perfect. I do use food testing strategically in some cases. Best, Dr. Jin

Tell that to the millions of sufferers who have done that and have almost died. Diet changes are extremely easy to inplement. I am sure nobody would need doctors if that worked so well. Spend some time in a hospital or support group and you will see.
@mamabear93899 ай бұрын
@Joannabanana1989 Well the carnivore diet cured my IBS and many Crohns patients have gone into remission and avoided colostomy bags by going on it. Go ahead and load up on fiber and veggies (typical doctor advice) if that works for you.

If you are talking about pale-colored stools, it might be a case of bile deficiency. You might want to look into a supplement called TUDCA but as always, consult your doctor first.
