A perfect embodiment of the directness design principle, the Croix-Rousse Tunnel in Lyon stretches 1,782 meters between the Rhône and Saone Rivers.
When opened in 2013, it was one of the world’s first solely for sustainable mobility; with one lane for buses, one for pedestrians, and one for cyclists.
