Wow, Nathan, this was a "nerves of steel" final... Great stuff... again I've never seen any final of anything in where the players chat that much... Did they play against each other many times in the past? Another thing: what do they need to write on the sheets? Just how many 20's they do? Was this the last upload until June 2018? Thank you! :-)

Glad you liked it. Both gentlemen are friendly guys, so I'm imagining it just felt most natural to them to talk through the game. They are both regular players at the big tournaments, so they have definitely played each other many times. The only thing the write on the sheets are the points and 20s. It's not really essential for the final since everyone is watching, but is just a habit after writing on scorecards throughout the whole day. This was the last Singles video from the 2017 WCC. Doubles videos are to come, and then videos of the NCA Tour will come up throughout the year. First tournament of the Tour is coming up in New York on Aug 5th.

sichosi Just guessing but his disc is in a tough position for his opponent. If he performs a bad shot trying to score the disc may end up on the board, giving his opponent an easier shot

sichosi there are essentially two different shooting rules in this game, if there are none of your opponents pieces you can shoot for whatever you want but if there are you must make contact with them first

In standard play, you get 5/10/15/20 based on what circle your discs are in at the end of the round (including ones removed to the 20 cup. You get the difference in score and first to 100 wins. It appears that in tournament play you get 2 points for getting literally any more points than your opponent and each player gets 1 point if it’s toes at the end of a round. First to 5 wins the set (unless they most get to 5 and the another round is played until there isn’t a tie). First to two sets wins the match.

the hole is 20 points while the innermost circle is 15 points, the following larger circle is 10, and outermost circle is 5 points. That is why you may sometimes see the winner of that round have less 20 counts but also have more accumulated points
