Interesting study, the lift method definitely does show off the importance of wax! Seems like a lot of variables considering some pucks would slide while others remained put. It would be interesting to create some sort of flicking device that could be calibrated to flick with the same force every time. Then you could measure how far the pucks slide given the same flick. Could even patent such a device to sell to Crokinole tournament holders to verify proper board prep before games.

Yes we have thought of that, but we aren't smart enough to invent something like that!

Hi, in the video, there are some visual deformations of the board at 3:51 - the center and the right side of the disk on edge. Is this normal?

Maybe you can help me with this. I coated my board with the wax but when i wipe it off it beads up. And the discs are coated and sticky. How do yoy suggest i clean this up so i get the nice glide? Because everything is sticky and gooey right now

Yes you could, but you'd probably need to take off the screws and that isn't recommended.

Fair enough! We are sort of using this as both a test of the effectiveness of wax AND to show how to apply the wax though to be honest.

@@maydaygames The waxing and buffing could've been more succinct to make the video shorter. Too many videos waste the viewer's time.
