Simple stock movements, no drama, realistic soundtrack, and brilliant filming - it doesn't get much better! If only I could achieve this quality in 00! Many thanks Tim

Good physics. I like the general steamy sound. No crappy DCC sound modules here. Excellent!

Hahaha! They're good for diesels but not sure about steam. Never say never but they're not there yet.

That curved double slip must have taken some doing? Lovely layout. The Super D always looked like it should have been fitted with a front pony truck to me. Apparently they can be a bit of a sod to drive according to Pete Waterman. Glad they finally got the sole survivor restored. I remember having a clamber over it at Butterly. Awesome engine.

Hi Widey, yes it was a bit of a monster, at first it didn't work so I had to make it a switched diamond and now it's ok.

Sorry I only got the first half of your comment for some reason. Yeah, the super D, George Whale wasn't happy with it either on the Class B and fitted a pony truck to make Class E, and with a large boiler, Class F. The LNW 0-8-0s are a real convoluted story if you're not already familiar with it!

Really good viewing, so many trains running at the same time, just one moan, with the footplates being so visible, could do with a figure or two in the engine, that signalbox, well good
@lnwrcrookstreet99542 жыл бұрын
Thanks Les, yeah, those empty footplates stick out like a sore thumb, I've since addressed it, they've got crews in later videos. ATB

beautiful track - plain and point-work; the trains travel beautifully smoothly on it too!

I'm still trying to map out the line's end where the runaway freight service crashed on Crook Street in 1918. Was it in the sidings next to the station?
@lnwrcrookstreet99543 жыл бұрын
Ah, I'm afraid you've exposed my fraud! My layout bears no resemblance to the real place - apart from it's name and I've nicked it's location to give some credibility to its traffic. The real place was just a goods yard with the station, Bolton Great Moor Street, nearby. The 1918 runaway went through the buffers at the end of the yard - and into the bedroom of a house, fortunately without any casualties. A whole different take on having a trainset under the bed...
