I’m glad I’m not alone in that. I was really taken aback by how they handled that. Shapiro doesn’t just take a “generic Democrat” line on Isreal. Disliking Netanyahu is really popular in Isreal, and not that uncommon on the Israeli right wing. It’s not exactly praiseworthy. It’s a bare minimum. Shapiro also served as a volunteer in the IDF, and wrote about how he doesn’t think that peace can come to the Middle East and had the gall to blame Palestinians.
