Makes my stomach tighten up watching those downwind takeoffs, and that little bit of off the end of the pavement dust is…WOW>

I was a loader way back. Our operation was not nearly as refined as yours, but unforgettable for an 18 yr old none the less!

Nice video. I always enjoy driving (starting in Dallas) the stretch of road from Little Rock to the NE corner of Arkansas, wandering the backroads, on my way to Kentucky. I was able to get some pictures a couple months ago of the crop dusters flying over, but they are hard to catch! 😊

@@sharpmems Found it, thanks! Interesting that in Arkansas towns/villages have the name Stuttgart, Ulm... (the area I was born an live in Germany :-)). It's a little off topic, but still interesting to see where German settlers have settled in the US.

@@cellnot awesome! I lived in Benjamin Franklin Village near Mannheim from 1986-1987. I loved it! Arkansas had numerous German POW camps during WW2. The German POW’s mainly helped our famers. After the war, many returned to Germany, but a number of men stayed and settled in Arkansas.

Each to their own but that is a really slow way to fill the hopper. How much is going in on that particular aircraft?

This is how we do it in New Zealand kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWGlcqCca798n9ksi=0jjKgPbAD7uu9FuZ

Another 500 feet of runway wouldn’t be a bad idea! Dang that’s short!

Very slow turn around. In New Zealand we load with a hopper, takes 15-30 seconds

Interesting. Have any footage of it?

@@sharpmems There’s a few KZbin videos, search Topdressing New Zealand, but here’s a link to one, kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWGlcqCca798n9ksi=0jjKgPbAD7uu9FuZ We fertilise all our hill country farms with planes but spraying is always done with helicopters, both hill and crops.
