Abigael Simaloi Pertet an agronomic engineer by professional and is currently researching solutions for agricultural communities living in conflict with elephants through the MEP Co-Existence Farm Project, which she manages. She was born and raised in Kajiado County, Kenya, where her passion for agriculture and community empowerment begun. She pursued her Agronomic Engineering course at EARTH University in Costa Rica and is currently taking her Masters in Global Food Security and Nutrition at the University of Edinburgh. She has been zealous in the restoring of the biodiversity and she founded an environmental conservation group for youth, Save Our World, and they planted over 5,000 trees in her hometown, she continues to educate the community on conservation, and has great interest in women and youth empowerment.
