This is the standard CSN live arrangement, first heard on the "Allies" album in 1983. I think it loses all the foreboding subtlety of the original version. Also covered by the Staple Singers, Rush and Cher (!!!). I put all 5 in my BS playlist. Thanks for the uploading!

I find it rather insulting that C,S, & N chose this when it was a Buffalo Springfield song--played at the same ceremony where Buffalo Springfield was inducted. Now, if that's Bruce Palmer behaving rather oddly, I see why they might not have wanted him playing, but why isn't Richie out there singing with Stills? Oh yeah--I imagine his born-again status is not popular in the rock world, but he still sounds good, so I imagine he would have sounded excellent in 1997. Why didn't they pick a song that was not from Stills' days with Buffalo Springfield?
@pghpookie7 жыл бұрын
Richie took ill during the evening, perhaps a food allergy, but left for his hotel right after the inductions....

Inspector711... This was CSN's night not Neil's.. Neil was never an official member of CSN he was a guest of the band many times over the years and besides Neil could never perform a heavy schedule jumping between 2 bands at the same time between crazy horse and his solo ventures and Neil was probably on tour somewhere that night anyways so as for Neil "blowing it off", im pretty sure he must have wanted to be there for CSN but couldn't...
@dkroll929 жыл бұрын
***** Neil was there for Buffalo Springfield's induction, wasn't he? Both bands were inducted the same night. edit: I guess he bailed for some reason. Kind of petty considering the circumstances. It's not like he didn't know ahead of time.
