I’ll never forget my early 20’s. Saved money to go to one of their concerts. It was a horrible experience. They were all - everyone of them Under the influence of something. They forgot words to songs so they’d just stop and go on to something else. Every now and then someone would just stop playing and when he try to get back into the music, he would be out of tune, beat - whatever. They could hardly stand. I was so disappointed. Professionals acting like they’re sitting around a camp fire smoking pot and drinking tequila. Plus whatever hallucinogenic they had. I’ll never forget that night but I always continued to love their vinyl. Just not in person. There finally got that off my chest at 71 years old. Thanks.

That's the issue with vocal groups ... as they age and their voices decline ... there's nowhere to hide in those once perfect vocal harmonies. However, just as with McCartney ... I still got a buzz from seeing them live, even if they were past their prime.

Well, I didn't have a cassette player/recorder so I if I wanted to listen to music I had to listen to AFVN. It wasn't bad, in fact it was pretty good. At least they played some decent music. It was on AFVN that I first heard about Jim Morrison dying.

I'm sorry, but they should have gone in as Crosby, Stills, Nash and YOUNG or as CSN/CSNY. CSN is great, but when you add Neil to the mix its like putting 100 octane gas into a Toyota Corolla.

Brian Washington. CSNY should be inducted as a separate band. they did some amazing work, but it is completely from CSN.
@Sargebri8 жыл бұрын
Yeah. However, I was listening to Lou Simon's "Talk Talk" radio show and he said something that could have made everyone happy and that was to have inducted them as CSN/CSNY. In fact, they did that when they inducted the Small Faces/Faces. Also, they could have done it with Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship due to all the members in common.
