Thank you for showcasing the beautiful country my beloved mother came from. She’s from Lisbon and immigrated to the states in November of 1964 at almost 24 years old. I spend at least a week every year in Portugal and speak fluent Portuguese and have my dual citizenship. Oporto has become my favorite city in Portugal! My dad is from France and he let mom raise us in a casa Portuguesa! Thank you for a beautiful video! You’ve brought me to tears….

Underrated??? Who said that? Where have you been all this time???
@nelsonsoares29756 ай бұрын
@@jorgemeireles5549 Yes for to many years it certainly has been , from its glorious & important history to its hero explorers & not only , to much to list in this comment , only in the last 3 or 4 years has Portugal been getting some just deserved & over do RESPECT ,.. at least here in North America its been the case ,,, where have I been ???.. where have you been ??? I should ask you ... maybe you don't understand the difference from underrated & overrated :)) .. Portugal all things considered ( except for its to low minimum wages ) is top 5 best countries - cultures not only in Europe but the world .

My! You were clever and went down through inland and not by the coast. Marvão is glorious. There are about 40 similar castles like that near to the Spanish border. Not as many on the other side of the border (Why is that? ;0). Also, in late May, early June you got the Jacarandas in flower in Lisbon. You did a pretty good job in showing the diversity but there is still so much to see and show. By the way, you can get more in the south if you fly (or swim) to Madeira islands.
@CrosbyGraceTravels2 жыл бұрын
Marvão was truly spectacular! I love the route we went. I'd love to visit Madeira Island someday!

2:20 - Gaia is not "technically" an entire different city, it's actually an entire different city. Same district but another county. 🙂 12:31 - Ahhh, so that's why your pronounciation of the Portuguese names like Pinhão, Marvão or Évora was so perfect! 😉
