My warranties have expired on two rifles already and gave me a green light to mix and match. I started after watching your videos and subbing. Keep the videos coming our way.💪🏻🇺🇸

Sweet, crosman did an amazing job on these guys, there is hardly a "fake mechanism" on them, I dont regret a single purchase xD

@@johnnybbgunner2136aye, the forward assist is like a seatbelt though, you never need it unless you need it xD lol

I want to know more about the upper that has the carry handle at the top of the video. I don't see anything like that on Crosman's website.
@RWMAirgunsmithing2 жыл бұрын
That one is my own build, used an A4-P upper and accessorized and modded to make a M4A1'ish replica. There will be a video upcoming!

I matched up my 2021 DPMS upper and lower to the R1 and Bushmaster and it worked just fine.

Nice! Hopefully they use the same mold for everything now xD

We need a aftermarket parts maker for upgraded parts for these rifles like the real ones do. Or Crosman start selling them?
@RWMAirgunsmithing2 жыл бұрын
There are maybe 5 or 6 parts on the parts list that crosman sells (like the seals). But yeah, crosman could definitely make a killing selling aftermarket parts and accessories for these guys xD dont know what they are waiting for, maybe Philip quit hehe

@@RWMAirgunsmithing I may try to massage some AR parts into these rifles from my parts bin since they are hard plastic. One small grind here and there should make them work.😎
@RWMAirgunsmithing2 жыл бұрын
@@johnnybbgunner2136 They probably will fit but if you have parts that can make a real AR and are worried about cost then I would suggest searching your local airsoft shops for random parts. You can pick up airsoft rails and accessories for a fraction of the cost.

I guarantee, I own and modded every single one of my Crosman’s including the AK1. All uppers and lowers are interchangeable. Not sure what happened with yours but everyone else’s will work!

Aye I know it's weird, I couldn't find any differences in the upper receiver dimensions either. The only difference is the bolt carrier thickness, and the dpms lower extension. Never had issues with the bolt catches either on any of them except the 2 plinking sessions after I swapped the bolt carrier assembly hehe. Feel like going to a store and asking to caliper the bolt carrier on a newer dpms xD

I'd never bother to mix up parts myself - but there's one thing I'd like to know. Does the screw position differ in any way between the old DPMS gaspiston carrier and the other, newer ones? Two screws lock the gaspiston and the seal to the carrier - but they are put slightly in a bad place. Crosman oughta put them about 2mm more forward imo. My gaspiston cracked on my DPMS, so I had to make a new one.. And I also made a whole new catch-release button for the carrier, since the og was very unreliable..
@RWMAirgunsmithing2 жыл бұрын
WOOT, finally got a comment from you! xD I remember you mentioning your homemade bolt catch in other comments (can you make me one? hehe j/k) I just took them all apart to check, and yeah, they are all the same parts on the inside. When you say gas piston you mean the part pinned into the upper receiver? or do you mean the 2 screws that hold the hand rail into the upper receiver? either way as far as I can tell there is no difference in any of the "weird alloy" molded parts, they all have the same part numbers.
@brorjordas19792 жыл бұрын
@@RWMAirgunsmithing The gas piston is the round aluminium rod with the green seal and the firing pin. The carrier which carries it has two recessed screws on the left side to keep it in place. Those two screws are so near the firing pin"s thick rear head that the material walls of the gaspiston becomes very thin. Two millimeters more forward would had thicker wall to make threads into. The rear of my og gaspiston cracked because of the thin walls and very tight screws. I do not recommend anyone to unscrew those two screws. But someone might get lucky if gotten them out without stripping threads or cracking the rear entirely. I were just curious once - and it almost cost me my DPMS.. I was lucky to get it fixed. But I do enjoy it more now with more mass into the blowback and a slightly lowered rpm rate..
@RWMAirgunsmithing2 жыл бұрын
@@brorjordas1979 ah ok, they are all the same size and part number, only thing that changes is the new a4p does not have the gold wheel on the top and the 2018 dpms has a little spring near the wheel.

Or could a r1 upper fit on a a4p or A4p uppr fit on the r1 lower
@RWMAirgunsmithing2 жыл бұрын
Yeap, you can swap those, I'm 99% sure my bolt carrier problem is because of the dpms specs.
