Kenny / myairgunreviews, died in August of 2018 ( I hope I have the date correct here.) He succumbed to that damned cancer. We will all miss his expertise and thorough reviewing standards, as you're watching here. Rest in Peace Kenny!

I miss ya, Kenny! I am thinking of ordering a Shockwave as my first .22 caliber break barrel. I alwys checked in at Kenny's KZbin channel. He did great no BS airgun reviews and mod videos. I liked that most of his reviews were on airguns that I actually might be able to afford. I'm 66 and retired, so money is tight. I'm in a fight with prostate cancer myself, so I really felt for Kenny and what he went through. My problem is kind of in a holding pattern now, but could come back.

RIP kenny. I still go back and watch your videos. He was talking about those different pelletguns like the vantage, crusher and red tail. I might be wrong but I think crosman has 2 or 3 different designs of break barrel pelletguns and I think most are the same thing in a different stock with minor diffefences, like iron sights, silencer, etc.

You sure have peaked my interest on cold weather shooting. Hope to see the accuracy video soon and thanks for this informative video.

I don't care what anybody says..... cold affects all rifles. Spring guns are the worst affected. Followed by the Nitro Pistons. PCP rifles are not as effective but they have a significant drop in cold weather. Powder burners are the least affected but they still are affected. My 7mm magnum shoots an inch low and an inch left at 100 yards with a cold Barrel. After the first shot it's a tack driver right in the crosshairs every time. A inch low and an inch left is not a big deal when your deer hunting.... But you do need to know that information that's why I'm a big supporter of keeping dope books. I had a Crosman Benjamin Trail pistol in 17 caliber drop from 650 ft per second to 298 feet per second in 32 degree weather. I brought the pistol back inside and warmed it up with a hair dryer and I was back around my average of 650 ft per second. My advice is to not use your Spring Guns or Nitro piston guns in the cold. Anything below 40 degrees is just going to do damage to your internal components and your seals.

Got this a few Months Back, wish I waited it's about $30 less now. Took several rounds for me to get the scope dialed in , but once I did groups of 3 were next to each other, I would recommend this to anyone adding to their collection. Good review thank you.

The gamo seems to be 1/2 group with the pellets it likes...this crossman is more like 1.5 inch at 20yrds so far or I've not found the right pellet one
@dustinh41753 жыл бұрын
Its probably the pos scope.
@toddk13772 жыл бұрын
I've had the same issue. I have six different types of pellets and it seems like the gun does not like the heavier loads, the groups are 4-6" at 25 yards. The 14.3 Benjamin destroyer pellets seem to perform the best, .36" at 10 yards and 1.1-1.6" at 25 yards (this is on good days with little to no wind and good trigger control, benchrested). This is with the iron sights. Only pellets left to try are the real light ones around that ten grain mark. However, I only have about 2-250 shots in my Crossman, but the groups of all pellets are better than it was on day one, so with more shooting it should be getting better, hopefully, lol.

Crosman gives a different name to a gun when the only difference is from a wood stock to plastic? Not right. And we need to start a movement of boycotting companies because of their lies on velocities, and call them and tell them why they're losing a customer. Otherwise we're complicit in their dishonesty.
@toddk13772 жыл бұрын
Maybe if it's a vast difference, but haven't you ever watched a Paul Harrell video and his explanation of chronographs?
@robertsaberniak0077 жыл бұрын
Not a big fan of crossman.... but as always.... you always have an interesting point. I like how you pointed out how cold weather might affect accuracy... i know for a fact that weather plays an important role on the accuracy of firearms.

The old trigger with the rc car bearing modification is better than the longer screw imo.
@ChildofYHVH Жыл бұрын
I just did mine yesterday and it is A LOT better. It’s like a whole different gun. I took the spring and pin out but I left the adjustment screw for now. Probably end up taking it out as well. It’s amazing how much of a difference it makes. Before my trigger was long and would stick and slide through before letting off, if that makes sense. I could squeeze halfway through and stop and the trigger would remain where I left off.

Kenny: Glad to see U still testing AR. U are looking well too. I just crossed over (as they say) to the dark side. Got my Gauntlet about a week ago. I just could not get the accuracy from break barrels. Boy! I got it now, I can put 5 in a dime at 20 yds. Course the $300 AR was the cheep part. After a hand pump, too much work. I have on order an air tank, HP air compressor, and various parts. Maybe U can test one of these someday soon. Keep up the good work and good health to U.
@myairgunreviews7 жыл бұрын
I agree about the Hand Pump. The Chemo Treatments have taken a lot out of me and I think this Hand Pump is too much work for me right now. Well, my break is over and time to pump some more.

Hope you include a springer in your cold weather shoot out. Be interesting to see what happens to the gas and seals in the cold. A well tuned springer should have no side effects i'm thinking. Keep it real Kenny!!

Take it out as far as you want if you're just plinking. Imo, if hunting small game, I prefer to keep it to a maximum of 30 yards and I've had no issues killing squirrels and rabbits. I prefer even closer ranges on bigger animals like opossum, raccoons, woodchucks, ect. That's just me, but I like to know that pellet has plenty of power for adequate penetration for a humane kill.

Kenny if you had to pick one break barrel the Crosman Crusher or the Shockwave which would you choose?? Which has the best accuracy and power. I get the occasional Raccoon and Possum and dont want to have to pump up my Hatsan AT44-10 .25 cal just to shoot one at 10 or 15 yrds.
@myairgunreviews6 жыл бұрын
Crusher or Vantage in .22 Cal
@Fazman816 жыл бұрын
myairgunreviews Thanks for the reply. Ill probably go with the Crusher because of the synthetic stock and its lighter weight. What pellets shoot good through them. Im about to order a bunch of pellets for my .25 cal Hatsan AT44.

myairgunreviews Thank you sir Ill put some of those in my cart for sure. Those shoot pretty well out of my Hatsan mod 95 springer as well as the JSB Match Diabolo Heavy Ultra Shock 25.4gr .22 cal pellets. Im going to get some of those H&N Hornet pellets you recommend for my AT44. Guna take them out to a friends ranch in Mexia, Tx and see how they do on some small and medium sized hogs.
