This video is amazing! I only used to practice at home but I just started dancing Salsa and Bachata around 2 weeks ago at a studio. I was struggling a lot with this step. I would start my walk on 3 rather than 5. I'm in high-school so I'm really excited to learn more 🤗🤗 Thank you this was so much help! ❤

As a follower, it’s better to start crossing on 5, not 3. Thanks for watching, and don’t give up, you’ll get there!!!💃🏻💕

Dalia hi, thank you for the nice and cheerful video. It is just to clarify as my teacher told me that I should step forward on two but you sometimes step back a bit with your left foot for example on 5:33 part of the video. May you explain me this part please?

Your teacher is correct. Well, to be more specific it should be a replace of weight, since you already stepped back on 1. Now, what’s happening here is that as people dance with the music, the steps won’t be very precise. Since you’re just learning, I assume…by all means stick to the correct technique 💃🏻💕

I have a comment - in this figure most of the work is on the lady. Is it possible to do the same figure in which the lady steps aside on 1 2 3 and the gentleman spins ?

@@bigcirkus306 creative mind, I like it! Everything is possible, just remember, if you're leading, you're the responsible of offsetting yourself so it looks like she's stepping to the side. In LA style/on 1, the lady keeps going on a straight line...i hope i'm explaining myself 😅
