I accidentally found this video. Lovely to see it. My old stomping grounds. Now I'm east of the Sault. I'll have to stay tuned and check out the sites. I only bike locally, to get away from traffic into the silence of the isolated woodlands. Best wishes along your trek.

Thanks! We'll be seeking some solitude after cycling with this traffic...as courteous as most drivers are, the noise is an assault! Enjoy your escapes to the woods.

Paddle to the Sea is great childhood memory.

@@grantmachan2907 Same here! The little town of Nipigon had a really great kids' splash park that followed his travels. Love that book!

Love Terry Fox monument. On my bucket list. Be safe. Great videos

This has to be the most impressive monument to an individual Canadian in the country! Says a lot about Canadians that it isn't a politician or monarch, just a humble young man.

Once I experienced these tiny mosquitoes up north in Finland. They sell hats there with fishnet cover for the face. It must have been quite horrific. You're doing great. The pedal speed you manage is quite impressive too.

Thanks! We're used to mosquitoes but these were next level...and all day long.

The bugs at Quetico should have individual names they’re so big. Lol. I’ve loved seeing old stomping grounds.😊

When were these your stomping grounds, Shelly?

After teachers college I taught up at Lac la croix. The bugs are otherworldly, the fishing is world class, the sunsets cannot be captured on film and the people became family. It’s beautiful. Quetico has a forever place in my heart. Does Fort Frances still smell of cabbage? Lol. Thank you so much for sharing it with me. Your trip has been amazing.

@@shellywellwood3032 LOL...no cabbage smell. The pulp & paper mill was torn down a few years ago...that might be why. The US side still has one though. I want gonpaddling in Quetico; looks like canoe camping heaven!

That stretch is probably the nicest in all of Ontario.

Kakabeka Falls looks beautiful. I will need to see photos of the Thunder Bay Library.

Oops. We were there but forgot about our avid library audience...sorry!

Ya, we just buked this section two weeks ago and both the mosquitoes and black flies were crazy. And what is up with tje $50.00 fee for Provincial Park campgrounds in On? In Manitoba we paid $15 for basic and $17 with electrical.
@Shannon_Marco_TravelАй бұрын
Everything costs more in Ontario, it seems. Arrgh. On the flipside the park infrastructure was excellent in Quetico and Kakabeka.

@@Shannon_Marco_Travel yes, all the campgrounds we stayed at are very nice and private. Cheers
