We got an image of Taion at a break point crafting a gem with Riku, but of course he's wearing a long sleeved turtleneck under his jacket. Core crystal seeming more and more plausible... Also I loved the X area music in the background

I kinda hope Taion doesn't end up having a core crystal at this point tbh, I think it'd be funny for them to keep people doubting all the way through pre-release and also probably like 2/3rds of the way through the game, before they finally show him shirtless and lo and behold, absolutely nothing. Also idk why they'd feel the need to keep that hidden (unless for very specific plot reasons), both Mio and Definitely Not Nia have their flesh eater crystals out in the open all the time, and no-one seems to care so, I can't imagine it'd be very different for blade eaters, much less normal blades.

Given taion and eunie's...placement on theirs...its my hot take she's the blade/flesh eater between them, not taion (though he's still sus for various reasons). My double hot take is that keves effectively made her fight for longer by doing this and (might) explain her bewilderment her name is found on something that, to her, has no reason to be there. Kinda hoping it's not something mundane like seeing her name on a wanted list or something. While there's no context yet for why she says this, it'd be an interesting twist the process of becoming a blade/flesh eater wiped parts of her memory.

Idk if Taion is a blade/flesh eater, because it is weird that they'd hide his core like you said. Maybe it's similar to Zeke that he has something that doesn't significantly change the story, but is part of his backstory, like Zeke's where it just never got revealed until a certain point in the story where it was relevant.

In the second trailer Mio fills up an art when she uses another art, but in this new clip she doesn’t, leaving me to believe that that effect is a pouch item one and can be used on keves characters. Secondly, stutter stepping is gone since we see Noah use different auto attack animations once he’s done with 1 of them, and auto attacks aren’t built off if each other and it seems to pause in between every 1 to 2 auto attacks. My theory is that auto attacks combos are still here but the animations isn’t built off of any previous one as to not punish you for moving around. Not counting all the pauses from “driver” combos and the pauses that are zooming into art, Noah at level 25 has a 10 second cooldown down on one of his arts (fills up halfway in 5 seconds) , and Mio fills up 1/4th of her art by 2 auto attacks (which again, stutter stepping is gone and auto attack animations don’t come up as fast like 2) from what I’ve gathered. Judging my all this I think keves arts are a pretty non issue when it comes to the concern of them being slow, I guarantee by the end of the game keves arts will fill up in like 5 seconds at most.

I don't think Taion being a blade or a flesh eater is going to be a reveal or a twist, simply because it doesn't seem to matter in 3. Nia is clearly showing her flesh eater crystal, and she's the leader. Why would it matter if Taion was one as well? Also I think the Torna inspired clothes may symbolize that the country now lives in harmony between blades and people, as that was Tornas whole deal.

Believe that the talent gauge for Mio fills up whenever she does damage to an enemy that has aggro on her. At least from the clip we see it fills up and flashes after every hit on the art only after it swapped aggro over to her, and she does one little auto right after that also slightly fills up the gauge.

I'm surprised you didn't mention it in any of the recent videos. On Noa's b button skill, we get to see the recharge of it. While his x attack and y attack both have incredible long recharges (even in a recent clip in the level 40 range), the b attack has a faster cooldown of about 8 seconds.

In some of the translated Mio clips, we see that 'miss' comes up when she is attacked by the enemy and appears to correspond to when the Talent Art gauge rises. So it may be determined purely by the class but there could still be some additional condition for raising the gauge that we haven't been made aware of.

I feel like you are making a hasty assumption about the Yumsmith class. They have been very insistant on the idea that Riku and Manana represent some form of combination between Keeves and Agnus. I think Yum is going to represent some big form of exception to the rules. Like maybe it has both Keeves AND Agnus arts which you can equip based on what your main class is. Or maybe the arts can transform automatically into the opposite nation depending on the main class. Now this would bring up the question of how would Yumsmith work as a main class then? Well there are two different answers for that. 1. It uses a form of automated system. An example would be Keeve characters get access to the Keeve arts and Agnus characters get access to the Agnus arts. Another method would be that you can choose the side before equipping the class and all the arts automatically become that side. 2. You can't. As I said, Yumsmith could represent an exception or so you might not actually be able to use them as a main class...Or we could push this even further and say that no "Hero" class can be equipped as a main class and you can only equip their arts on the left menu. Either possibilities are things we can't ignore.

A few videos ago I left a comment suggesting that the Keves characters may hit much harder than the Agnes characters. After reviewing the minimal footage we have, it appears to be the case. Mio, in the sole clip we have of her, does 68 and 63 on auto-attack, and 415, twice, on her special Art. Noah does 148 in several instances, on auto-attack, and 540-odd to 750 or so (dependant on the clip you're seeing) on his non-special Arts. Given, those had the positional boost, but my theory appears to be correct.

I have a theory for you. At the end of XC1 Shulk wishes for “ a world without gods” - in XC1 terms this means no Bionis or Mechonis. When the bubble domain merges with the XC2 universe, they wink out of existence and everything on them falls on top of the combined titan landmass in Alrest. This explains why the mechonis sword is no longer stuck in the Bionis and why manna forest is now stuck on top of the remains of Morytha.

Hey luxin, first love your content I found your channel thanks to XC2. I've got a fan theory about the red/ gray diamond tattoos. What if gray means more of a neutral or good lifespan, while red is more of warning to the end of one's lifespan. I maybe missed something that would say otherwise and if so I apologize, but this would change the perspective of Ethel and Mio. Another theory I have is Pyra/Mythra are bad, because they returned to their core crystal form possibly losing their memories, something happened (presumably to the party of XC2), then just as Malos sought to destroy the world based upon what he and Amalthos witnessed Pyra/Mythra also goes crazy. The arts might be tied to a weapon/class, and when they use the art, they have the weapon temporarily for that attack (as does Sena with the sword and shield, then swaps back to her hammer... I think something I'm curious about is that are people with core crystals still going to be referred to as "Blades" in Xenoblade 3? I know it sounds like it should be obvious but they've already confirmed to us that the weapons that the main party can materialise out of nowhere are also called "Blades" so are they going to really refer to both as Blades? Will that not get a bit confusing to be like "Ah yes, Noah's Blade, but I don't mean Blade as if he's resonated with a Blade's core crystal but the Blade that comes as part of him, Blade". Maybe it wont matter in the grand scheme of things but yeah, I wonder about that. On a related note; maybe it'll come true, but I don't quite buy the theory on Taion possibly being a "Blade" just because we haven't seen his chest, but ignoring the fact that he's still got the British accent (because it's a mute point for Nia and Mio' welsh accent), I also just don't see a reason to hide that fact in the Xenoblade 3 timeline anyway. It seems that despite flesh and blade eaters being an extremely taboo thing that people didn't want others to know about in Xenoblade 2, they seem to be returning in Xenoblade 3 so far and with no shame to hide it. So for that reason, I don't think even an ordinary Blade would have reason to hide their identity let alone a flesh eater. Taion definitely has something going on with his own "Blade" (the 3 term, this is why we need a new name for XB2 Blades lol) but I don't think we have enough info other than his weapon possibly being sentient.

I was wondering about that too. My original thought - before it seemed likely that the game's set not that long after the worlds merge - was that Agnus people had maybe interbred with Blades for so many generations that they were all effectively Flesh/Blade Eaters, born with traits from both humans and Blades - every single character we've seen from Agnus (minus possibly Taion) HAS some Blade characteristics, and so Blades in the XC2 sense are no longer a concept that it makes sense to distinguish - they're just the same thing as regular Agnussian people. Maybe Klaus hit a magic "Blades are now independent and don't need Drivers" button offscreen before dying. That doesn't make sense if we assume that the worlds merged close to the end of XC2 and this is set 10 to 20 years later, though. I do think XC2 Blades will take a massive enough backseat that maybe it's just not an issue, and there will probably be some lore reason for it, even if it's something as lame as "we Agnians are Blade-blind, all people are equal to us, we don't see bladeness anymore", said as a handwave. Blades were sort of XC2's thing, they explored that concept and they probably are done with it. I too am very curious to see how they handle it, though.

xenoblade X had nopon "trade guilds" (merchant camps/nopon caravans), also (there's a mission where you get Tora - that is: Xenoblade X Tora npc nopon, not xenoblade 2 Tora playable nopon, yes X had a Tora, too, before 2 did... you get him a "coin" that makes him into a trader as his parents who are legendary nopon merchants)

I find it weird they would hide that when the trailer already implies she's dead. Maybe the crystalization she has and the horn in the trailer is a hint towards this. I just thought i'd mention it!

@@zegunugu3162 Spoken like someone that does not do research. All the themes of Xenosaga and Xenogears are all present in Xenoblade so expecting these elements to not be in 3 is just stupid. I was not saying Nimue would be literally from Xenosaga, btw. I was explaining that she would take a similar role to a certain antagonistic force in Xenosaga called the gnosis. The gnosis are even in Xenoblade 3... they are called Moebius/fog beasts

I think you are completely wrong about the number of classes, because we have the whole "pulling a sword out of a sword and turning the rest of the outer sword into a glove" thing to think about ... which potentially means that the main characters will each get their own second class, putting us at 12 classes before we even have any from Heroes. Also, counting weapons isn't nessesarily an accurate way to count classes in XC2 - Dagas, Agate and Gorg are all Axe weapon rare blades, but arguably different classes or "subclasses", while Ursula, Nim and Korra are all Knuckle Claw units, but they all heal in different ways, while Adenine is different again and common Knuckle Claw blades can wind up being quite DPS-orientated for somthing ELSE completly different with the same weapon type.

they have dual/transforming weapons (the sword/glove Noah has, and Eunie's staff/rifle especially - one weapon, two modes... Eunie seems to be a cross between Sharla and Melia from XC1)
