Hey guys I made a cross cut jig for circular saw using drawer slides. It works very smoothly and accuately, i hope you give it a try in the future.

What is the reason building such thing? IMO a tracksaw or a chopsaw does the same job better, with less restriction and in smaller size.

This is by far the coolest cross-cut jig ive seen.. sliders make it easy for the circular saw to glide through the material... on to my shop, im making one ASAP...

Nice job, only thing I miss is a possibility to clamp down the part you're sawing... That would be a nice addition. Other then that 👌👍

Good idea, slides can be used outside of wood rails, that will get litte dust.

great! would you share info on the length of the drawer slides you're using (in withdrawn and extracted state)? Thank you!
@diywoodholic38584 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel !! The length of drawer slides is 600mm If you use longer slides you can cut wider timber.

@@diywoodholic3858 Thanks man. Will build one very soon. I even thought about maybe combining 2 drawer slides on each side to extend the range (or trying D.James' solution). By the way: i prefer your design over many many others!
