This is an awesome vid! This is the exact format I would use. Good footage with nice transitions, music background with post-production narration and useful, funny subtitles. Would love to learn how to do that! Instant sub. Just found the CPAAT and will probably plan to do sometime this year- either as warmup for a big Canadian trip or possibly in the fall. Will look for more of your travels!

Nice! We just found out that the CPAAT goes right past our house, so this Saturday we plan to hop on and do the western-most leg. Then maybe next year we'll head the other direction...

My wife and I are wanting to do the CPAAT. Everything we have researched showed all the roads and surfaces to be gravel fire roads. We ride 2up on an r1250GSA. Do you think its possible for us?

Right now, PA is nearing drought conditions. The places that could get muddy and slick are just perma-rutted and dusty. If you two are comfortable on dirt roads and gravel, then the route is certainly doable. If/when it starts raining, there may be some places that pose more of a challenge. Sorry I can't give you a solid "thumbs up." I was on the route last weekend and saw some areas that I flew over that I wouldn't have, if they were wet and muddy.

Haven't researched the trail(s) or gpx files yet, but is there an avoidance route to avoid that mud hole?

We haven't looked at alternate routes around the mud hole, yet. It was easy enough to hop up on the berm and go around. I was not looking for obstacles so by the time I saw it I was too close and had to stop and back up, to get the best angle to jump the berm. Others report going right through the middle (that the ground wasn't slick mud but similar to the surface on either side). Any ADV/Dual Sport can handle either approach.

I wonder if that lighthouse in Tionesta light up at nite?????

From everything I've been able to find, it does not light up at night. It's not really there as a navigation aid or warning for mariners. Have a great day!
