I use the small holes on top for when my clipped tail is too long for my ort jar and I use them for confetti spots. I tend to buy the cardboard bobbins because for the same price I get double which is best when your on a budget.

Great tip. Luckily my flosses tend not to tangle while bobbinating. If I finds do pull from the thread end by the number label it works out well.

I do almost the same thing but I also flip the bobbin over and write the number on the other side too so that its visible back or front. I don't put specialty threads on bobbins so that they don't get any marks or grooves. TFS
