I’m not sure how to describe the correct way to thread . Fold the the thread to get rounded edge then flatten between thumb and finger. So when you push the needle eye it threads through every time.🥰

Yes, your threading the needle trick worked great. I too have broken both of my metal needle threaders, and was just trying to thread by poking the thread through the eye of the needle. The way you showed works much better! thanks for showing :)

Because I love how inspirational you are and you made it look so much fun- I started cross stitching again, also bought one of these printed kits. I have one in a scroll frame - regular aiada 16ct kit and about to start the printed one in hand. I find it interesting that you seem to think it’s maybe more hard or intimidating to do embroidery rather than cross stitching- when for me it’s just the opposite! For cross stitch I find I make more mistakes and get frustrated because it’s all exact but when I do embroidery it’s laid back and more Freestyle for me and less precision. I am experimenting in my embroidery with different styles like hardanger- pulled and drawn threads because I adore the lacy effect and it’s actually easier than I thought. I also am about to attempt to try white and black work. Let’s both be brave and try something new and challenging!

Hi, just a tip, if you pull one strand of floss straight up out of the section you cut off, it will never tangle or knot. hold the top, pull one strand straight up and out, works like magic.

I’ve never seen that technique to thread a needle. I also broke one of those cheap threaders, so I’m going to try your method. It’s hooking a rug that you were trying to think of. Your canvas is looking really good.

I buy them little cheapest things to but I take some glue and glue the back where the two little wires are so they don't come apart that works really good but I've never broke that little wire and a half before but you have two wires just coming out from the back grab one put a little dab'll Elmer's glue or something like that on it let it dry and it'll last cuz I glue the back of mine and I've never had a wire come out or break or nothing

Easier to thread if you take one strand and fold in half , now you have 2 strands and you thread the needle with the folded end. MUCH easier.

I don’t fold because I like to work with long threads

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I have not cross stitch in 30 years and returned to it with a small counted cross pattern. You have convinced me that stamped cross stitch is good because you can interact with others while enjoying the stitching. I tried the link to see the pattern you are working on, however it’s no longer active. What pattern are you doing?

Jennifer, the number you need to stitch as a normal stitch as colors around it. They just put number for easier way to find colors.
