Thanks once more for your briefing - I watched those at least the third time and still learned something! And this time it'll be my first go at CTP

Thanks for this video, as a first time CTP pilot with about a year of VATSIM experience it was a big help and I absolutely cannot wait for today's flight..! Much appreciation to all of you taking the time and effort to make this happen. It's truly awesome and the wheels aren't even up yet. Much love!

I take it then you can't do a step climb during the oceanic portion? Must stick to the assigned level?
@jasonboche Жыл бұрын
You can absolutely request a step climb from ATC.

Quick question, I know if you don't have a booking then you shouldn't cross the pond but is that only from the airports in question? Would I be able to do my own flight from Barbados to Manchester tomorrow?
@josephcritcher9783 Жыл бұрын
Hey, flying during the Cross the Pond event is not advised as you'll incur major delays both on the ground and in the air, however there is nothing to stop you flying the route. So yes you are able to do your own flight

hello I have a question.... I'm departing out of Orlando so do we have to request oceanic clearance after crossing New York oceanic and entering gander or the controllers will do that
@kieran0941 Жыл бұрын
No, only if these are the first ones you enter :)

When do I have to make a position report?
@toast_emperor Жыл бұрын
All aircraft are ADS-C simulated, so no position reports required :)

Can you set it up on the CPDLC to do them automatically? I'll be taking the A340-600
@kaelon9170 Жыл бұрын
@@happypapi1903The controllers just simulate that all aircraft have ADS-C capabilities and report their position every few minutes. So there's nothing you need to do for position reports.
