Crossbreeding Update! #2 Aura Blue Serrata Shrimp and Tangerine Tiger Shrimp
It's been three months since I started this breeding project. I started with 10 aura blue serrata shrimp and 10 tangerine tiger shrimp.
I have noticed multiple generations of shrimpletts. These shrimp have been very prolific and are constantly berried.
For the time being the plan is to keep all original shrimp and F1 shrimp together in the same tank. This way the F1's can cross back with the parents as well as the other F1's.
The next breeding stock will be chosen from these offspring, focusing on mainly the bluer/green tint offspring.

Ah this is quite an amazing project to follow. I personally don't cross breed much but my friends do use my tt for their cross breeding projects successfully. I might give this cross a try for fun though. Thx for the great content

Thank you! It’s been a fun experiment. I need to do another update video now that the juveniles are a lot bigger. Recently culled a lot of the solid orange TT babies and juveniles and put them in my cull tank. There are still tons of babies in this tank.

I've been waiting to see updates on this project for a really long time :( im really Curious to see how the offspring turned out once fully pigmented as adults and also know if I could try to do the same but with OE blue tigers instead

Thanks for the reminder! The tank has been going strong for awhile! I’ll do an update video here soon 😊 Oe blue tigers are a caridina mariae variety so it would be a Mariae Serrata cross. Not sure what the outcome would be

I always watch a video to the end of a special about shrimp. I’ve got ghost shrimp and a 20 gallon tank getting ready to start up a new colony in the 20 gallon. I’ve got four from the first call me how many colonies did it take you to get to finally get the green shrimp and when I be able to put either of those shrimps in with ghost shrips

Thanks for watching! This colony has been running for a few years now. As they breed I will occasionally select the brightest greens and cull out the oranger colors. These are caridina shrimp so they would need a softer parameter of water than ghost shrimp.

Thanks for watching! These are tiger shrimp, a type of caridina. Caridina shrimp can interbreed to make different colors and patterns. Neos revert back to a brownish clear color after a few generations of crossbreeding
