@@leftovernoise what is your conclusion? :) I am 4 hours in and not sure too
@leftovernoise2 жыл бұрын
@@Fekron I ended up putting around 70 hours into it including the dlc The beginning was pretty slow. But then it gets really good and then it gets better. I think it did drag on a little too long for me or maybe I just dumped too much time in it too quickly. The dlc was very good and some of the best stuff in the game but by the time I got there, I was already pretty pooped. If I had to do it again I probably would have waiting between the base game and dlc But I really enjoyed my experience and consider it a very good and underrated game

I had NO IDEA that neutral tree passives stayed active while using elements, albeit at half strength. I've just beaten the game, but I would've spent my points very differently had I known!

Great tips, especially the 8 cardinal directions thing. I've seen a lot of players get stumped on puzzles because they default in these odd fiddly angles and it makes me kind of sad when they think the puzzles are way harder than they are. I've seen the puzzles compared to BOTW because you can solve them in multiple (semi-) unintended ways, but I think that's very misleading. CrossCode's puzzles work more like classic Zelda games (though the puzzles are harder), where there is a progression as to how puzzle elements are used. The game (naturally) assumes you figured out the preceding puzzles and tries to build on that knowledge. In that regard it's more like a dedicated puzzle game, in that there are different puzzle solving strategies that are a good way to approach a puzzle, and more often than not, outright solve it.
@pj-wille3 жыл бұрын
Agreed, Thats the danger of cheezing a puzzle in a game like CC and not at least trying to see what was intended: you end up not ready for the next puzzle that builds on the previous.

This say one can be so useful Oh my gosh cuz there's a certain high tier plants or teir three plants, I'm running between maps looking for them and waiting for me to respawn is the most boring part farming enemies isn't so bad but now that I know that I can respawn the enemies to that could really help if there is a low rare spawn of a certain enemy. And I'm so happy you mentioned the passive neutral stats cuz I was of sure as heck about to buy all the base stat increasing ones, And I might still do it because even half as effective is still a stat boost

For all of you looking for more tips: 1) to avoid elemental overload you can keep dealing damage w/o any element and it goes down really fast. #?) You can change elements from the quick menu. Edit: It seems these tmechanics are outdated but if you want to know what caused the discussion below, here they are: 2) You may use a combat art, switch elements during he animation, and the damage the enemy receives WILL be of the current element, not the basic combat art's element. 3) You can also change to neutral during this mechanic, and it's useful against certain enemies not particularly weak to any element. Also, to lower the overload bar, as previously mentioned.
@pj-wille3 жыл бұрын
For tip 2 I have tested this in the past and even just a few minutes ago to confirm, but it does not seem to be the case. I used a few different methods but the easiest was to attack an enemy who had 100% immunity to an element and try swapping into it during an art to see if the damage got stopped, which it did not. The damage numbers will use your current stats which change based on the circuit you are in, but the damage will still be the same element and going to neutral will usually make it do less damage (as it tends to be the weakest statwise) with the upside of just a naturally better passive overload regen. The overload is applied as soon as the combat art is activated and not during the animations and to my knowledge, only damage from neutral combat arts will reduce overload. With that in mind, it's generally a good idea if you are going to use a neutral combat art to swap to an elemental tree (which you can do at any point before any hit connects including in the middle of a multihit combat art as damage is calculated using your stats at the moment damage is done) to get the benefits of their usually higher stats since it will still do neutral damage.
@thehumanpractice29853 жыл бұрын
@@pj-wille Just re-tested it, and you are absolutely right. Lea's stats change instantly, but her elemental damage does not. And the elemental calculations apply right at the moment of execution, not after each hit, true. Weird, I remember it used to work. In that context, even when in Overload, swapping to neutral would accelerate CD. I actively used these and gave me an edge on a lot (A Lot) of situations, but eventually (with levels, and unlocking other arts) I stopped using these tricks. I wonder if they were all a dream now, or my copy had some issues... but oh well, thanks for stopping me from further spreading false info lol

The respawning plants when reloading the save really helped me out in the end. Really, it was a pain even with that "exploit". That and the shadow of the aim helped a lot, because the perspective in this game sucks. It's really the only huge flaw this game has. Otherwise its an amazing game!

Tip 3 - a bit wrong. When you load the save, it loaded BEFORE you break plants or open the chest on this screen! So you have to leave screen to keep your plants rewards!
@pj-wille8 ай бұрын
I just tested it and it works exactly as described: If you save first after getting the items, then load that save, you keep what you farmed. It's just any time you load a save you start at the beginning of the room. Leaving the screen causes an auto-save to occur, but that's why I specified you save first.

Tip 7. When jumping attack then dash. With the right timing for the long jump you can CHEEESE hard.
@pj-wille4 жыл бұрын
I kept that and the "infinite dash" out of the video because they break the game in some areas. You can bypass a lot of challenges that way. There's an even bigger jump available if you know how to properly frame buffer a combat art dash and eat food to cancel.
@arti20744 жыл бұрын
A tip from me: Don't try to break the game by getting trough gates you're not supposed to (Info with spoilers on read more) On rhombus square there is a red gate thing that has 2 guard npcs to both sides (one on the left one on the right). I dashed trough the one on the right and i was at the other side of the gate and things were weird there. I could go outside the screen and jump into off screen water. If i did that and came back, i was a layer bellow the ground somehow and i couldn't move. If anyone wanna try it, the gate is right above the landmark where all the shops are
@pj-wille4 жыл бұрын
Yup, when you're outside the map and land on the nothingness out there you lose all ability to move. Fortunately you can still teleport or save/reload to get unstuck.
