The Can of Nothing the problem is you implemented "some" of his strategy. you must go full fourwooodoo, full commitment is the only way to pull it off. If you hesitate in the dash up sweep for even a moment you will fail.

+V. Joe Ryu is 100% fundamentals, and fundamentals are very strong in SFV. Damage is high so stray hits from Ryu's random pokes. His short but powerful and very easy to execute combos do amazing damage. The parry is incredibly strong as a V-Skill and his Trigger is pretty good, too, because it makes his relatively safe fireballs even safer and faster. His best jump-in has an incredibly small hurtbox while his anti-airs are probably the best in the game. Basically, Ryu has every tool.

+Diego De Souza Costa Netcode doesnt fix shitty internets. Internet lets high ping feel like low ping. The dude from argentina probably had like .5-1mbit up or a connection that went back and forth. I know cuz I have 80down 30up that shifts, and that literally makes online gaming hell even though the high numbers.

Basically no weaknesses. Best damage in the game. Buttons that keep him + or safe on block. Plenty of ways to confirm. Three frame jab. Invisible reversal, parry, good health and stun. Great anti airs. Pretty decent fireballs. Good walkspeed and amazing dash. V trigger only two bars and has a lot of combo extension options plus unblockeable setups, amazing chip potential. Can make moves that are unsafe and make them safe of plus. Jumping short destroys non-invincible anti-airs. Able to zone and rush down. Pretty disgusting character overall
