I like that your videos get right to the point with lots of info in a short amount of time. That way busy people that may not have a lot of time can watch.

Beautiful said, Peter !!! I just love this topic 'THE CROSS' because we all will experience it (rich, poor, old young, ect..) but if we understand the power of suffering IN THE STATE OF GRACE we can merits alot for ourselves and our love ones (by offering it up. The 3 children were taught by Our Lady to offering up their cross/sacrafices). If you are not in the state of grace while sufferings can't merits nothing. By offering up our suffering for something good it make our burden/sufferings light and meaningful. I never understood why the saints never want to go thru one day without sufferings until now. THROUGH THE CROSS WE WILL BE WITH HIM IN GLORY.

There is a spiritual need and hunger for us to worship with our bodies AND soul. Yoga was my way of filling that hole. I love the catholic church’s teachings on the the body.

Can you do a video about some ways to do penance? I hear all the time do prayer, penance and fasting. I want to do more but not always sure what "counts." Thanks

As a former Protestant myself, I can relate. There ARE a LOT of problems with the Catholic hierarchy. Can’t argue that one. After finding out a priest had molested my son when he was very young, our family left the Church. During our time away, I tried unsuccessfully to return to Protestantism. Many have knowledgeable ministers and well-constructed services. I found that they ALL lacked the FULLNESS OF THE FAITH, however. Worse, they are all confused about what they believe. If they weren’t, they wouldn’t have thousands of versions of each denomination. It’s what happens when the accepted way to solve a disagreement is to go start a new church. So it was that after our daughter died and we were left bereft and suffering without a church to help us through it, we returned to the Catholic Faith. Our return has brought us a new closeness to each other and our Faith. I’d like to see the abuse mess cleaned up, but it’s far more satisfying to have the fullness of faith than a mere taste of it.

My Pentecostal friends believe in praying and fasting. They also believe in giving and serving. Some hard core Calvinists I know with chronic conditions don’t even pray for their healing because I’m pretty sure they believe they should suffer because of a disordered belief about God. When I was a Calvinist I believe that God wanted me to live in a ditch. I got to hold on to my shame and guilt and self loathing while then just adding, ‘but Jesus loves me anyway!’. Religious schizophrenia is a very real thing.
