These are hometown boys for me (Columbia, SC). I used to work @ a couple of ROCK stations in Columbia and got to know them by acquaintance . I actually know Brian Geiger (original drummer in this song) better than the others. Edward (Eddie) Sloan on lead vocals, also is doing solo work now. Mitch James on Bass (he's still around town, but not sure what he's up to these days). Les Hall would later join them on lead guitar in 2006, who is kickass. Crossfade did a comeback tour with the album "We All Bleed" in 2011. Good album, but they didn't quite get to the place they were in the beginning with this particular song. Very cool and down to earth guys. They also did an acoustic version of this song, which is AMAZING!!! YOU MUST LISTEN TO IT! We played it all the time @ the station. The band is still together, but I'm not sure when they will release any new music or go on tour again. I left the station in early 2015, so I'm not really in the mix anymore. That's really all I know at this time.

What I got from the video is that when he was following his dream of making music, she felt ignored and left out. Like the guitar in her spot in the bed and how he just keeps playing music even though she is standing there getting ready to leave. He's saying it had nothing to do with her but when you are trying to be a successful musician, it takes a lot of time and practice and instead of sticking with him while he worked on this dream, she moved on. 🤷 Just how I saw it. The song itself could have so many meanings for each person that hears it and they could apply it to their own life in many different ways. I've always loved this band ❤️ sucks they aren't around anymore :(
@ambrooks54 жыл бұрын
Interesting take on the video. Being a successful band/musician takes a lot of sacrifice so it could very well be exactly what you said. 👍
