First off let me say I have just received these headphones today and, as I type this I have them on. I listened to a mix by Adam Beyer and let me tell you..... WOW WOW WOW!!! I finalised my purchasing decision based on THIS video and it certainly was the best decision I made. INCREDIBLE SOUND!! Loud yes... but it's the BASS!!! NICE DEEP CHUNKY BASS!!! Exactly what I need when I DJ! I cannot believe for the price how good these are! Also, I opted for the regular headphones without Bluetooth.

5hz to 30,000hz for £60. I dont think you can find any other headphones at that price which could achieve that frequency response. The Denon DJ 1100 match that spec, but are £105.
@shullln4 жыл бұрын
That's all well and good, but below 20 hz and above 20K hz are beyond are range of human hearing so it's a moot point. (I'm older and can't hear much about 13.5 khz anyway) To test your hearing here's a 20hz to 20 khz tone sweep just for fun. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3_JaqGwq9OXZ80 Also notice that the specs don't give the +/- db's for that frequency range. It could be -10db at 30k hz and again it would be a pointless spec. IMHO, the most important spec for DJ headphones is sensitivity in db/mW. Beyond that, I think COMFORT goes beyond any spec on a spec sheet if you're going to be wearing them for hours on end. I'm not saying this isn't a good product, I'm just saying some of the specs on these should be taken with a grain of salt as they don't provide all the info one needs to make a full evaluation. PS. I'm a big fan of pioneer products in general.

So, what makes these a "beginner" headphone instead of just a headphone for a more experienced DJ?
@MisterShufu2 жыл бұрын
I also asked me this. However I think the main component here is the price. Also not specifically mentioned that they are over ear which in my opinion makes them better for beatmatching. You can focus more when you mix.
@guntimusic18 күн бұрын
I think if you compare with others they "adjust" more to different head positions.. so confort and the sound. The more "professional" tend to have a cleaner eq curve. This as mentioned has a bit of extra low end. A part of that I can only see if different materials are used.. plastic vs something else.

I'm about to return these headphones. On the long term they are really uncomfortable over the ears (surprised that no review mentions it) Material quality and sound quality (for DJs and EDM music) is good, a bit heavier on the bass than on other frequencies. Do not buy if you're planning to do long sets.

@@mk-os8gl very misleading on Pioneers side in my opinion, as on their website they advertise as over the ear. I returned my cue 1s, paid and extra R400 and got myself some HDJ X5 headphones from Pioneer and they are much better for me. Over the ear fit, comfortable, great build quality, good sound isolation and good sound quality for gigs. Been enjoying my HDJ X5 for the last 4 weeks. Reason why they're loud is probably due to them having a low impedance and a high sensitivity rating. Meaning they can be driven very easily.
