I recently purchased the HDJ X10 and I am now watching this video again. I have to admit that I was also a bit disoriented when I first used these cans (And I first used them on a recent gig). But nevertheless, these are great headphones for DJing. I admire DJ Joey for always giving honest thoughts on every product review that he does. Keep it up!!

Expensive but they sound superb and are real comfortable considering how much they weigh. I've owned countless headphones over my life, I've had these since May 2019. And this is what I'll say about them after 1.5 years. They still look basically brand new, I use them almost every day, some days 4+ hours. Since they cost so much, for awhile I did baby them and put them in the case every night. But I haven't done that in a year. Maybe most impressive about them to me is the earcups still look brand new. Pretty much every other set of cans I've ever had this long, by now I'd either already replaced the earcups, or they would look trashed. These are still soft, and there's zero signs of cracking. Pioneer's nano coating claim sounded gimmicky to me when I was first thinking about buying them. But whatever it is exactly, it's legit. At this point I'm wondering if I'll ever have to replace them. For reference, I'm in So Cal and the 2 summers I've owned them there's been a decent amount of me sweating on them. I like these so much I'm pondering buying the black model, but I'm pretty sure if I used these every day they might last me forever. I've never had headphones with a build quality like these suckers.

When I was reading up about DJ headphones I saw people really hyping the ATH M50X and hating on these because they lack bass and exaggerate treble. I tried the M50X in-store alongside 20 other headphones a few years ago when looking for a pair of studio headphones and they stood out to me because of how bad they were. Very bloated bass, not musical at all and very little detail. Sounded super congested. I went with the Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro 250 ohm version back then, and those are still one of my favorite headphones. The HDJ X10s are also good, but they are less detailed and have piercing highs. Those piercing highs aren't necessarily bad when you're trying to mix in loud environments and listen for hihats. The bass is strong, but not bloated. It's very linear and I guess that's why people think it doesn't have bass. They're just not used to bass having more than one note. Listen to Trentemoller - Take me into your skin, which is what I use to test both detail and bass in any equipment I buy. The HDJ X10s easily pass that test. Would I use them for casual listening? Probably not, they're not really great for that, but for DJing/mixing and tracking theyr'e pretty dope.

I have the mk2! They are good, but sweaty issues is a problem. Hopefully the nano coating works on this!! Def more chunky than mk2, but I’ll take audio quality over slimness

Yeah but they say the sound quality on VModa isnt as good as Pioneer. Plus im seeing on Amazon youll have to buy their memory foam XL pads for best comfort cus the stock pads are way too thin.

Bruh! I own the HRM-7 which i love for mixing, do you think these have similar kinda flat sound? (the 2000mk2 were more V shaped) I would like some sort of (headphone) control group and I'm considering these cans
@digitaldjtips5 жыл бұрын
No, the HRM-7 have a flatter response compared to the HDJ-X10, which are closer to the HDJ-2000Mk2 :)

What about in comparison to Sennheiser Hd 25 2?
@digitaldjtips5 жыл бұрын
They are different - expect fuller, deeper bass with the HDJ-X10C. But that comes at a cost: they're heavier and bulkier than the HD 25 II, which are more comfortable to use for extra-extended periods because they're so light. Also, I just love how timeless the look of the HD 25 is :)
@iWhy_Music5 жыл бұрын
@@digitaldjtips Thanks! I've listened the 25th 2, bass is so big)) But luck of mid, I think it could be hard smt to mix HP kicks and like u are using a hi-fi speakers, hard to imagine a deeper and fuller, maybe not that exagerated?)

One more... HDJ-X10 vs HDJ-X10c? Any real difference other than fanciness?
@digitaldjtips5 жыл бұрын
It's just a cosmetic / design difference :) kinda like how there are white and platinum versions of CDJs.

If you like to take your 320 kps mp3 file to sound like 96 kps then this headphone is for you. The vintage sound. High price for a shittty sound quality headphone.

I might be wrong but I'm sensing you're not a fan of these...

True, im very disappointed with the sound quality. Now, i gotta go purchase a Ultrasone headphone which i had before, which the sound quality is much, much better. I had the Ultrasone 580i. Now im planning to get the Ultrasone 780i or the 900i
