CrossFit - The Story of an Adaptive Athlete: Steph Hammerman

"I want to make it clear that I do not suffer from any disease or my different ability doesn't impact my life in a negative way," Steph Hammerman, an adaptive athlete, says.
Living with cerebral palsy hasn't stopped Hammerman from living. In the past two to three years, physical activity became more important to her. When she found CrossFit, she knew she was ready to have some fun.

I know Stephanie from NYIT! I met her in 2005 in the I to I summer program! When I met her in that program, both me and her had drama issues, both good and bad, but that never let our friendship down. After I parted ways from her, I never knew that she moved her journey forward by attending Lynn university and participate in CrossFit! Stephanie, if you’re listening, I am proud of how far you took your life and journey! You are an inspiration to me! I am an avid marathon runner myself, I had several setbacks with my shunt, but I too live with a medical device and I move on with my life with it! Well done!
