There are many versions of that movie, and I can recommend them all. Also, its from a book by Agatha Christie, so if you havent read it yet, I can very much recommend doing so.

I like it Amtrak and Via Rail havesleeper trains, and I hope one day to try out an overnight train journey as I’ve yet to do so.

Thanks for the really good video. I am with you, I also enjoy sleeper trains, because of what you see and experience on the journey, and the people you meet. I have been on many sleeper trains, from very simple to very luxurious. In Vietnam, Thailand, with Europe, in China, on the Transsib from Moscow to Vladivostok (of course before the war against the Ukraine), on the Ghan from Alice Springs to Adelaide and on the Rovos Rail from Pretoria to Cape Town. I would have loved to be able to experience the orginal Orient Express. I have seen the movie several times, and should you ever make it to Istanbul, there is wonderful restaurant there at the old Sirkeci train station (called the Orient Express), where the train used to depart from. Its a great piece of history. The cabin you had looked quite comfortable. However: so bad, that there is only microwave food available :-(. Visiting a proper train restaurant is a highlight for me. P.S. I was suprised to learn that travelling from the Windy City to the Big Apple, you are crossing 12 states.

Wow, you've done some epic train trips - many of them are on my dream list for the future! It's fascinating to hear about your adventure across so many countries around the world! And I am totally with you that it would be so much better if there're freshly cooked meals on a sleeper train.

@@travelwithinreach I think my favorite epic train journey was on the Transsib from Moscow to Vladivostok. I did this in January, and a lot of the Russian passangers on the train were returning home after the festive season. I dont speak Russian, but still it was wonderful. I loved the stops in Irkutsk (for Lake Baikal) and Ulan Ude (for "Mongolia" in Russia). And the many wonderful moments on the train. In the restaurant car for example, or drinking wine with a family returning home from Moldovia, and travelling with big canisters full of home made wine :-).

Your car number should be listed on your ticket. Happy birthday and enjoy your trip!!!

@martinaschulze477114 күн бұрын

And when you call Amtrak to complaint. nobody answers the phone. You sit there for 45 minutes or one hour before they pick up. and then they transfer you to another department and you wait another half hour.
@travelwithinreach14 күн бұрын
Maybe try sending a complaint through their website? www.amtrak.com/email-us We've done that before and received their response and compensation.

It's done and it's overwhelmed. We will never. ride Amtrak again. We did the website nothing.

There's some major U.S. based airlines I'll never fly again. Guess it's coming down to Greyhound bus or drive. But we'll all complain about other people also on the road or our own driving. Maybe we just shouldn't travel.
