7:03 Quick detail. That was the actual Spiderman in the comics. The author was allowed to do a crossover with Marvel. Mark did the name joke with the Avengers, told Peter his story too. So when Mark flew through the portal, Peter tried to go help Mark by attaching to him but the portal closed before he got through. Which is why Mark had a web on his back.

Him losing control only mitigates the punishment for the crime he's guilty of but does not absolve him of the guilt. People have been making that mistake for decades as lawyers routine argue that defendants are innocent by mental defect instead guilty from mental defect. If someone snaps and kills someone then at the very least they should be sentenced to therapy to minimize chances of a relapse instead of released to the general public. On the other hand, while Nolan clearly snapped when beating up Mark nearly to death, the level of mitigation would be minimal because 1) he worked himself up into that emotional state (vs Angstrom repeatedly threatening Mark and his family including breaking Debbie's arm so hard that bone was protruding from the wound) and 2) Nolan had been mass slaughtering people left, right and center in the air, in Chicago, on the ground and most notoriously underground on the L (Chicago commuter trains are called the L because they were originally elevated and the nickname stick for those on the ground and even subways underground). Nolan had not lost control then.

Yea, his crimes are less weighty, but imo, it's not because he lost control, but because of scale. That's literally it. Period. Because Mark could have stopped anytime. He didn't. Him losing control may have been the catalyst. But as I said, between snapping and beating Levy to death, there was enough time for reflection and then some. You can't minimize anything imo by just saying he lost control, because there was a sizable chunk of time where Levy already stopped resisting. Sure maybe if he only beat Levy unconscious. That's where I think the distinction has to be made between simply losing control and letting lose and enjoying it. And to begin with, I was only mentioning the parallels of justification. It doesn't matter what the reasons for justifying. They both justify to minimize their crimes. Perhaps Viltrumites do it even to the point they think they're doing a good thing. But the parallels exist because of the justification. They still delude themselves enough to think they are a good person/people. Well, maybe Nolan realizes his mistake, but I still think the point stands.

Homies, I think it needs to be said for EVERY person watching and reacting to this show both now and in the future: Mark does not want to kill and he will try EVERYTHING he can to avoid doing so. It's a cornerstone of who he is and how he views good and evil. We can beg and yell for him to "just kill the bad guy", but that's not the story that's being told and it's a disservice and antithetical to Mark as a character and the overall plot. A lot of people were upset with Mark for not making a move on Eve at the end of the episode, but it's completely understandable because the Anissa encounter, breaking up with Amber, and Angstrom threatening his family and pushing Mark to kill him all happened within like 3 days, that is SO MUCH SHIT to have to process mentally I don't think he was anywhere close to ready to jump back into another relationship, especially with a friend who he has known for a while. I know I wouldn't want to do it, I'd feel like a terrible boyfriend because the start of our relationship would be me being fucking miserable and stuck in my own head all the time, and then I'd feel worse about letting my partner down.

I’ll never get tired of the Nolan/Andressa backdrop 😂 I love the idea behind Angstrom being used to represent Mark’s character. His mind has been jumbled up with all of the memories of his counterparts and the vast majority of universes show Mark embracing being a Viltrumite. The implication is that even though this Mark is a hero, he still has similar traits to his counterparts when it comes to violence. Mark’s decision at the end represents that Mark still feels that same rage that is emblematic of Viltrumites and now Mark has to wrestle with the fact that deep down he can be just as aggressive as a Viltrumite. Mark beat Angstrom the same way Nolan beat Mark in the Season 1 finale. Essentially the multiverse is used as a way to explore Mark’s character as opposed to fanservice cameos……although those Spider-Man and Batman scenes were fire 😏

After that, it literally didn't matter because Angstrom just punched him through a dozen dimensions casually, like he already could. Plus, he literally said he only did all that stuff before to weaken Mark. Hence why he resorted to physical combat immediately once Mark got serious.

First, "fix" and "help" do not have identical meanings. Second, yes, she could have took it he meant "help". Third, however he KEPT doing it over and over again even after she complained about it. When subtlety didn't work, she blew up at him. Fourth, and finally, Amanda blowing up at Rudy finally did work to get him to actually treat her as a person instead of a problem. She recognized this and responded accordingly, even acknowledging that, yes, she would be interested in a cure if he found one--and that she's still interested in him as a person not merely someone who can cure her de-aging.

Here's what happened..the older version of the guardians are from the main universe where Mark came from, the difference is they are from 20 years in the future of the main universe. Robot says Mark did survive in that apocalyptic world but it messed up with his head, the guardians went to get him 20 years ago just like they did with Mark's younger self but it took them a while to get him that is why Robot says to Mark "You wouldn't like what you've become". They went back in time in the main universe to when Angstrom came to attack his family, next they pinpointed the exact universe Mark was stuck in, and then went to through the multiverse to get him also i'm thinking the reason they did all of that is because when they got future Mark back he wasn't himself anymore based on Robot's line i think future Mark became evil or something in the future because of Angstrom.

Mark could've flown through him before Angstrom could blink, could've grabbed his arms or wrists and snapped them to stop him from creating portals. He could've picked up debbie and Oliver and flew them to the GDA come back and fight him without a crutch. Instead he spent 20 minutes of the show being worked by a villain he is 50× stronger than. Then he's wallowing like the villain wasn't throwing debbie and Oliver around the room that alone should've been enough to immobilize Levy. Lol ngl the whole episode pissed me off plus it was an underwhelming finale outside of the nolan and allan storyline that was pretty interesting.

@@nobruno the difference is that Invincible universe tends to lean more into actualism. Like what would an actual super powdered being do in a situation. So when they stray from that its frustrating. I do understand why he didn't obviously because mark has his no killing policy, since he doesn't want to end up like his dad. The show and its writing is still good im just saying as a viewer its pretty jarring to see Mark being outplayed when he didn't have to be.
