Crossing borders: AZERBAIJAN to GEORGIA by TRAIN

We take a train trip from Baku, (capital of Azeirbajan) to Tbilisi (capital of Georgia). We boarded an overnight train that took 14 hours to do the whole trip 448 kms for a bit less than 60 Manat (€30).
Despite the long time the train is quite confortable and if you are able to sleep this is probably your ideal transportation.
You cross the Azeri-Georgian border so you need your passport and have the appropriate documentation including visas for both countries.

One thing everyone complains about is the heat in this train, the AC only starts after you get going so it’s best to wait on the platform until just before departure…of course this only applies during the summer months

When traveling from China to Laos by train, you should disembark twice - once on the Chinese side and once on the Laotian side - to go through the checkpoints.

hello, I don't recall the train having a Cafe, so in any case taking some food is always recommended. You can buy easily in the station in Baku.
