Lovely walk along the coastal path folks. Nice idea making a bench from the wreck a sort of permanent memorial. Many thanks for sharing👍

Hi both it's gorgeous all around here , wise to take the guides advice. The views all around are stunning, I loved that tall waterfall and footbridge over the stream. The bench made from the shipwreck was great and good that you could see the wreck from it. Looked lovely where you sat at the table and had a drink as well. Interesting that there are remains of an iron age hillfort, I agree with you, no match for the sea... That was a gorgeous part of the coast path and the place you stayed at the free Inn (hehe) was lovely 👍~ Anna

Thank you Anna, this "severe" section has become one of our favourite parts of the SWCP so far, and the pub was a nice reward for our efforts. Hope you're well, kind regards, Simon

Both, we remember this section well. You were right to split the walk - we did the same and were relieved that we did. Meant to say that when we finished our walk at Hartland Point we had to get back inland to Hartland where we’d parked the car. We decided to try thumbing a lift from the top of the road/cliff catching cars coming away from the car park. First time ever for me (Selina) but incredibly a lovely couple stopped and did us a huge favour taking us to Hartland. We fell about laughing after they dropped us off, mostly out of relief….😂

Thank you for sharing this walk and for documenting all the ascents and descents 😊 Lovely as always. I remember when we walked there, the last valley came as a surprise. We had already spotted the church and thought we were just about to cross a field. But no! The steepest and deepest valley remained 😂 I really don't understand those who choose to walk Hartland Quay to Bude in one go. Well, we managed to arrive in good health in Morwenstow and we loved the stay at the Bush Inn. The food was really nice too 😊

Good to hear you did the same, makes so much sense, and it allows you to enjoy the walk, instead of suffering over 15 miles in one go! Part 2 coming very soon...

@@unowhotravelchannel I couldn't agree more. We like to enjoy the walks and to be able to take some breaks and look around instead of being in a hurry. It is also always lovely to have some extra time to explore a bit in the places we have an overnight stay 😊

being that rugged it was good to break it up into 2 sections, cool coming across both the waterfalls and shipwreck and stopping for a drink at that picnic table to take in the beautiful scenery, that section of the map is just about filled in

Thanks Craig, second section coming very soon...and yes, the north of the map is close to being done, watch this space! Cheers, Simon
