@@kookfishin 🎣 I don’t think I would be as brave to cross that sand bar though at that water height, kayak it over for me

@@TheKingKeane it can get very hairy on the cross over. even worse when you go through all that effort and catch nothing ahahaha

Killer content bro !First time I’ve seen someone use the duo press bait. I’ve got the all white one n the blue sardine one. Caught 480 model at palmys while back. Keep ‘em comin 💯🤙🏽

Cheers man!! Yeah the duo pressbaits go so hard hey. I used to have HEAAPS of em but i have since lost alot to bad casts, bust offs and giving them away ahaha i love them heaps

@@kookfishin why is it dangerous does it pull you in or something? Easier for me to just drive up to guilderton for Taylor no drowning necessary 😆

@aidanrolls82012 жыл бұрын
do ya rekon trolling from a tinny around close to the back of pengiun would pick em up?
@kookfishin2 жыл бұрын
Wont be able to get close enough with all the swell thats around in a boat. I see a few boats out there occasionally but they’re pretty far out
@OOHYEH2 жыл бұрын
I run my jet ski around those reefs and I wouldn’t take a tinny in there as the swell can be unpredictable.
@col29592 жыл бұрын
Great tailor mate. Big effort big reward. I think you can top that vid.
@kookfishin2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! Dont target them often and it was pretty amazing to catch back to back pb fish. Need to bring a brag mat out next time to get an accurate measurement. For sure big effort, i did a sessio prev to that one for a solid 3 hours in 2.5m swell and i was left empty handed ahahaha had to go back for more

Notice your ISOLIFESTYLE rod straps. Is that where you get your gear?

I do get alot of my gear from them yes! Lots of my micros come from those legends

Is the counter weight worth it? I always just thought it just adds weight to the reel. Never used one.
@kookfishin2 жыл бұрын
Depending on the style of fishing i suppose. What im doing it generally doesn’t really affect the performance by adding a few extra grams. I don’t actually use the weights on that particular reel anyways. More so i can place it on the ground and not scratch the reel

Hi mate i was wondering if you got the little jack lures locally or over the net. Well done for braving the cold water also.
@kookfishin2 жыл бұрын
Got them from anglerswarehouse dude, online only. Very hard lures to come by. A store down in busselton sells the microjigs by little jack. Awesome brand they are. Thankyou!!

Hey mate, please refrain from any racist comments as i do not tolerate that on my channel. Thankyou
@malcolmgibson5088 Жыл бұрын
@@kookfishinAlso it is a stupid comment. The sandbar can have curves, it is not straight. I was a bit concerned when you said you could not see the bottom. Often in summer, high tide, south west wind and people step off into deep water.
@kookfishin Жыл бұрын
@@malcolmgibson5088 this was filmed in winter in the morning when we have a high tide in the morning. i am pretty short as it is but during winter with a large tide and big swell crossing the sand bar in general can be pretty dangerous, hence why i put a warning in the description. but you are correct about that comment being stupid. does not matter what time of year that sand bar can be deadly even with the right amount of knowledge (in regards to the weather) and swimming skills
@malcolmgibson5088 Жыл бұрын
@@kookfishin Thanks for expanding on the point. You are 100% correct.
