The road you were on is the Pan-American Highway which goes all the way from Alaska to Patagonia (with a small interruption in Columbia). The complete transport of goods throughout the Americas is done via this road (if not by ship or plane). Now as you have mentioned, border crossings are not as easy as in Europe over here and have in mind that there are countries which are in conflict with others or having civil conflicts going on. That's the reason for the eternal line ups of trucks on the borders.

@@GAVACHO5150 oh sorry, I had it small and didn't see, that you were referring to the other comment. No, most of them have it turned off. These border crossings amaze me. Really like watching them and the differences between them all, and you’ve done a LOT. 😅 These intercontinental truck drivers must be sitting there for days to get through. As always, your videos are just the best and I love how up close and personal they are with you.

For some reason the Russians didn't have all that hassle getting into Ukraine. Imagine if they did :- "Have you got import papers for that tank? And what is the reason for your visit? Enjoy your stay!"

Imagin being a lorrydriver in that queue! You are a very patient woman, going through all those "offices" at every border.

For anyone watching. The border can take a while. We have never had any actual issues. Done it a few times over the last couple of years. Some quick, some slow. If you turn up to the Nicaraguan border covered in cameras you are categorically going to get delayed with a lot of questioning. So, it's likely a good option to remove cameras and stay low profile or take the hit of a lengthy immigration process. Thankfully, Itchy took the hit for us to make another great video.
