I’m sorry to see that Harold Ramis passed away but liked how they handled his character with respect. Also that not only did director included the living members of OG Ghostbusters team but also included Egon with his grandkids in a cool but serious way. In conclusion it’s awesome that the director and producers kept for the most part to the original vision that Harold Ramis had intended for the 3rd Ghostbuster movie. Harold Ramis, keep busting them ghosts wherever you are.

I have a question. The symmetrical stack of books in Egon's house. If the area shakes like an earthquake nearly every single day, wouldn't they have fallen over between the time Egon passed away and the time his family arrived???

We could make the argument that the farm was far enough away from the mine to not shake. Hence him in the truck at the start of the movie. We could also argue that Egon wouldn't want his equipment shaking and chose a far that wouldn't.

"Its like poetry, it rhymes" - George Lucas UPDAT: I know he had nothing to do with the film but any great film series knows how to stay consistent within its own universe without being contrived, nostalgia baity, etc.
@LPTV842 жыл бұрын
You make a good point about the key to a great film series, but I wouldn't quote George Lucas considering how that statement was in regard to the prequels. Out of context, it sounds great, but in context, all it does is make his story making abilities post the Original Trilogy as kind of weak and lazy.

Finn Wolfhard's line where he reads the sign outside the dirt farm is incorrect. Perhaps I'm being nit picky but it's suppose to be "...and the sun became as black as sackcloth". The fact that he misquoted one of the most famous lines from Ghostbusters 1984 has always annoyed me.

References should be subtle. The faded advertisement for stay puft marshmallows which was seen opposite Summerville police station worked because it was subtle, momentarily appearing in the background. It was enough. The decision to also include the miniature stay pufts was a mistake in my opinion. The scene in which they come alive in the shopping mall was completely unnecessary. It took up an extra minute screen time and didn't make any logical sense to the story. Why did they come alive? It just didn't make any sense and only added to the films overly long runtime. There's alot of stuff which should have been cut in my opinion.
@drakocarrion2 жыл бұрын
What a great way to highlight just how often your "new" film was completely unoriginal.
