Hi daniel. I watched few of your videos and i love it, keep up the good work! Im currently 16 and love travelling. I have dreams to travel the world bcz life is too short not to do that. Any tips on how to be like you and travel the world right after 18, With not much budget?😂 I also have thoughts of taking a gap year. Some advice will help tromendously :)

Great to hear! I took a gap year too at 17 after high school. Honestly at your age (/ lack of savings) working somewhere then travelling is the best idea. You could consider looking online for 'work aways' too. Basically volunteering in one location for food and accommodation. Otherwise if you have a bit of savings you can pick cheap countries. Forget Europe, forget most of Latin America, although Bolivia and Paraguay are very cheap. Destinations like India, Iran, Phillipines, Indonesia are VERY affordable. Others include Thailand, Vietnam, Laos. I haven't been yet but I've heard Egypt and China are both affordable too. Couchsurfing is a great way to meet locals and stay for free with them. And of course hostels and hitchhiking are budget methods ☺️ In terms of how I'm actually funding this travel - I have to be transparent and say, having worked in a good job for 8 years in a fortunate country like Australia I've saved a lot. But there are definitely ways to travel cheaply and now that I don't want to return home for a long time... I'm starting to use these methods more and more!

@@DanielVanDyck really appreciate your reply sir ! May I ask what you did during your gap year? Do you want to travel together when I'm 17 after my highschool?😂😂 Honestly I think will to travel to South American countries as it is the most diverse. As I'm born in Asia, it is not really that interesting to me to travel in Asia😆 Your my inspiration man, stay safe will travelling. Hopefully one day I can be like you travel around the globe

@@hermanwhy6252 I worked in Canada in a ski resort, then travelled Europe with my savings before working in hotels in the UK. I did not have any savings at 17 haha. I actually think working and staying in one place at that age was a great experience - getting to know different types of people really well. If we're in the same country let's definitely meet up - problem is I can't plan to save my life! I'm currently in a Buddhist monastery in Northern India. Good luck with South America - just remember it's a bit expensive! And not as safe as many places in Asia - look after yourself!

I was going to say no - because overall it's VERY safe. Much safer than how I felt walking around the streets in Latin America - where I recently spent a year, but then I remembered.... When I went to Mosul, a city which was captured by ISIS from 2014-2017, we did see an unexploded bomb... that was pretty scary.
