That space is actually where the old Ferry terminal used to be, cars would line up to wait for the ferry to cross the straight to New Brunswick before that bridge was built. That little village was a very busy spot

Yeah I would to see future videos on a RV tour. See how you guys set up and store things. Your RV hacks, do's and don'ts, how to maintain the RV, boondocking how to, Walmart parking lot advice, and other tips you guys experience.

Good ones. We've been wanting to make more like tours, informationals etc. I think a tour + set up would be good, and maybe then a boondocking one about what we look for in a site. Soon enough hopefully! Cheers😊

If you ever head back parrsboro way I would definitely recommend to take a day or two going around the fundy shore in Cumberland & Colchester counties. There’s Some beautiful sights between advocate and five islands

Hey there. We'll have to keep that in mind for next time sadly, but that area does look beautiful. Definitely loved spending the night on the beach by Ottawa House. We're going to be using the free ferry from Pictou to be able to quickly revisit PEI as well. Appreciate the suggestion though, and maybe someone else who sees this will go now because of you at least! Thanks for poppin' by😊🍁

The big parking lot at the base of the bridge is where people used to line up for the ferry before the bridge existed.

Ahhh that makes sense. Makes for a cool parking spot now down by the lighthouse. Thought it was cool you can actually touch the bridge there too, not having it employee fenced off or something. Thanks for visiting!😊🍁

Great video, actually the spot there you were standing in front of the bridge was actually an old go kart track that has been left open for a while, I remember I used to go there when I was a kid there’s an old kart building too that people like to climb up on and take pictures of the bridge

Hey there, thanks! Good to know about the Go karts too, that would be a fun pastime before getting to cross the bridge. Cheers 🙂🍁

So beautiful right? We've been loving it over here in the Maritimers, plenty more cool things to see coming up now! Some of the campsites alone are great like sleeping at lighthouses and harbors haha. Cheers!😊

its actually where cars and truck would lineup before they leave the island via the ferry!

That's some pretty neat history there! Makes for a great pull over to touch the bridge and check out the view from that lighthouse. We sure loved PEI. Thanks for watching!🍁

Nice boon-docking site! Did you ever figure out what was causing the bubbling on the beach? I’m curious now!
@LukeandAlysha5 жыл бұрын
So nice right. Love camping out in the Maritimes there have been so many good lighthouses and harbors to camp at lately too! Never actually got around to researching that actually when we got back to town, wondering if it was as the tides were going out the water was just rushing down..and bubbling... Still to be determined haha😆

What tools do you use to pick your Boondocking places?
@LukeandAlysha5 жыл бұрын
We want to make a video on this someday, but generally we use the iOverlander mobile app as our primary resource. Generally I then just do a little peaking around the area on Google maps to get a feel for the area, maybe go to Street view mode &satellite view so I can see the site before driving out to it. Otherwise we generally spend the night at Walmart in the side somewhere if we're already there to grab groceries anyway. We want to start finding our own boondocking sites eventually now that we've gotten so comfortable knowing what to look for across the country. Thanks and hope that helps! Always happy to clarify more of you'd like😊🍁

@@LukeandAlysha thanks for the info. I'm going to have to check out that app.

Yeah it's super useful, even as a rough idea of what to look for. A lot of the spots on there are common to the regions, and it just so happens only one person added one spot then everyone only goes there. Like in Ontario we found a lot of side road boat launches were common, and in the Maritimes harbors are reliable too even if not added. Cheers😸
