In this video I will be showing you as to how my day looks like when I am crossing the mighty ocean on my container ship .
We have alot of work in regards to navigation, passage planning, weather routing , reportings etc etc .
As a duty officer sailing onboard merchant navy ships , it's my responsibility to safely navigate a ship from departure to arrival or rather I would say for the entire length of my contract .
In this video we will set a course from Netherlands Rotterdam to Tangier Med In Morocco passing the Gibraltar strait .

Your videos are very informative and clearly you have a very positive outlook on life! I did the entrance exam for TS Rajendra and DMET around 1978. I was in the bottom 10 of the 100 selected for DMET but those seats were offered to schedule caste and schedule tribe. They gave me a letter for TS Rajendra but my eye sight was just starting to change so I could not accept the deck officer's college. I was extremely upset that these and other attempts to join the merchant navy failed. I reluctantly joined a diploma in electronic in Mumbai. Took me thru variou technology jobs in India and in 1987 I came to the US and completed my BS in Computer Science at University of Maryland. I am now a US citizen working in the IT field and I have no regret about my past failures. Keep staying safe and staying positive. Clearly you have awesome parents who support and encourage you. I did not have the opportunities young people in India have today but I managed to make a success of my life.
