The "Minion" character painted on the air bottle at 10:48 was a nice touch. I'm glad the bosses allow a little humor and creativity in the engine room. As a gear head myself I always find the engine rooms more entertaining than the bridge.

Thank you so much Karanvir and Ayush for the great engine room tour! The size of those engines are truly amazing. Seeing this brought back good memories of when my dad worked as engineer on a customs ship in Rotterdam harbor and its neighboring ports. Of course that ship was much, much smaller! My dad would have loved this video but unfortunately he passed away 6 years ago. That engine room is so self sufficient with are the tools and spare parts ready to be replaced when needed. ❤️

An excellent video, sir. You are to be congratulated. I spent my whole working career as a ship's engineer officer and Technical Manager ashore, sailing around the world from the 1970s until I was transferred to an office in 2006 and retired in 2017. The engine rooms I was used to were a lot smaller than yours for sure and on the older ships we had no air conditioning or control rooms. Mind you, we also had a lot less equipment to operate and maintain!! Good luck to you and looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

This really took so much effort from both of you, and it is worth watching every second! Big "SHUKRIYA" to you and great to see Deck & Engine department walk 'hand in hand" as it ought to be onboard each vessel, as afterall Deck Officers need Heroes too😉⚓☸🚢💙 Watching this beautiful video brings back memories of the 25 years I used to visit the biggest Bulk Vessel 'Berge Stahl' who shipped iron ore from Brazil to Rotterdam. Her Engine Room was so impressive and I was fortunate enough to see it myself. I also have been into the Engine Rooms of Manchester & Manilla Maersk and who knows, maybe you can introduce me to the Engineers of Munkebo Maersk next time😉 I salute all of you for the incredible work you perform onboard your Giant Blue Lady, and wish you safe sailings wherever you navigate! Looking forward to the next episode featuring Ayush. Namaste dear Karanvir"🙏🏽🌟🙋🏼♀️🧡💙

@@KaranvirSinghNayyar Hi, was Chief Engineer on multiple Berge ships, but the Engine Rooms on Bulk Carriers are much smaller than the mega Container Ships. Reason being the higher horsepower requirements of Container ships viz a vis the huge Bulk carriers. Impressed with your VLogs. By the way my first promotion as Chief Engineer was with Maersk.
