I tbink we even stopped in for a beer there. Looking forward to making our annual pilgrimage up to Qld in September. Such beautiful riding, though our mt07s obviously dont see the places you do. That vid looked hard going, the 3 of you pushing each bike tbrough tbe mud. Not one if yas stopped smiling though. Good mates youve got.

Good on you for having another crack at crossing the Simpson looks like one hell of an adventure ! If was 20 years younger, I’d be doing it myself the only thing I ask, is it would be great if you could show a map pop-up occasionally to show just where you are on your great adventures. 👍🏽

Awesome mate glad to see you trying it again. As a truck is myself I’m torn, out there where it’s only single lane tar most would say get off the road and let the truck have the tar so no rocks or dust are being thrown up. But the witches hat and colvert washed out didn’t give you many places to go. It sounds like he didn’t handle the situation well, but it’s one of those accidents that’s going to happen in the worst spot. Can’t wait for pt 2

Yeah mate I agree with you. My old man has been in interstate driver for 30+ years and I used to work in a depot so I totally understand how hard it can be stopping or moving a Mc vehicle fully loaded. I was trying to stop and give way however by time I saw him plus trying to stop our bikes with there weight just didn’t leave much room. We weren’t blaming him by any means i think he just felt as if he had to defend himself as a driver, which I do understand. Part 2 is on way mate🤙

Lucky escape for your mates. A older guy gave me some advice when I started driving. Never follow your friends closely as you are off guard and will likely hit them if there is some issue. I see you have one of the budget phone mirror units on your bike. How do you find it and does it tax your phone battery much as it talks for day?

Hey Angelo, Jake and I pretty much ran the same gearing 14/41 and 14-42. I did previously have 15-44 on but I was taking a spare 14 front so I switched the rear to a 41 as 14-41 and 15-44 are the same gearing👍

Yeah we did move over which was why we were on the side of the road. Fully loaded bikes on dirt don’t stop as fast as we would have liked unfortunately and we are considerate of trucks having driven them myself I understand there position was just a shit area for all of us at once. Thanks mate I’m glad you’re enjoying the vids. My drz has just clicked over 36000 kms man I got it with 8000. I don’t think 24000 is that bad as long as it’s been serviced regularly for example Jake in this vid bought his at 27000. I will say this though I am going to need a top end rebuild soon my bike has done some hard kays in the last 8 months.

@@agro1942 Well my bikes burning a lot of oil which usually means rings are shot and if the rings need replacing I’d bet the piston will most likely need replacing too. It’ll still ride fine for ages but I’d rather have it done so I can trust it in the more remote areas man.

Any tips on tyre changes, i can never get the tyre to sit evenly on the rim. There is always one section of tyre that doesnt sit concentrically on the rim, creating a bump when the wheel rotates
@anotherguyonabike4726
@anotherguyonabike4726 Ай бұрын
Hey mate iv had this exact drama several times. I used to run the Pirelli mt21 on the front loved it but could never get the bead to seat properly even blowing it up to 100psi. Sometimes it would pop in but then fall back in the rim valley as I reduced the pressure again. When I read reviews on the motoz it seemed quite a few people had the same problem with the mt21 and after switch to a different tire the problem went away. Sorry long winded answer id consider changing the tire when you can there are plenty of great tires on the market now the motoz desert ht solves the problem for me👌
