100% recommend the ride through Chaelundi Nat Park mate…it’s an awesome ride up into it & out the other side, plenty of fire trails to explore & some epic lookouts. It’s a bit more true off road & rocky& loose in parts compared to the Old Grafton but it’s magic forestry mate you won’t regret it 👌

There awsome, i ride with a guy that has a 800 and a guy that has a 450, and they are both great bikes. The 800 is a 22 model and he has never had an issue with it. In saying that the DRZ 650 is an awesome bike aswell

Crackin’ feed mate thanks for sharing, most don’t. And great idea with the rear box set up as a camp kitchen. Tuck a plate and chopping board away in the lid with some spices and you’ll be cooking up a storm while out exploring australia. It’s funny how little of our local area we explore while living there. I was in Townsville for 3 years and not once did i try to get to cape York. And now I’m back down in vic it’s a 8k round trip :( and yeah unless your trying to live off KZbin making weekly videos is a hard one. I tried it once, but you often feel rushed and you know the end product isn’t your best. When it’s just a hobby you find time to record a trip and get it out in your own time, not to KZbin’s schedule

@@BradMullProductions yeah mate making a little kitchen would make the cook ups much easier and definitely make the camp experience better. Jeez 8k round trip is a lot longer than just going from Townsville😅1000% agree Brad sometimes it’s easier to put out content more frequently if it’s all there filmed after a big trip but getting out weekly is just not an option for me and like you said it’s just a hobby. From one older rooster to another I would ride like Steady Eddy to avoid dropping my bike these days if I get back on two wheels.Back in the day when riding on a unsealed road behind the Bulkies Warehouse Southport in late 70`s after work with my mate I went to pass some old fart riding a step through motorbike and hit the throttle coming off sliding past him on the sump oiled dirt road. The look on the old boys face was priceless and my mate nearly fell off his bike peeing himself with laughter at my cunning stunt 🤣

I also spent time growing up and going to school in Grafton. I spend lots of time in Grafton each year and have some great friends in Grafton. I have driven and ridden the Old Grafton Rd many times. Camped there countless times. Explored much of the surrounding country side. Canoed the rivers and hiked the mountains. Like you, I have a love for that part of the world. Thank you for providing this wonderful video to once again remind me, how lucky we are, to have this special location.

big bike fever wears off fast if you ride solo and want to go well into the bush--- ive had most large adv bikes ktms 1290sa, r1200gs, honda 1200 crosstourer africa twin etc, now going back to a 2024 drz, and no cam issues. lol

Honesty just stand up don’t sit and go through with a little more speed then you’d think you would need. Most people get spat off sideways goes too slow and if your unsure of the depth (very clear water is super deceiving) just get the boots wet and walk it drying boots is easier than fixing a drowned bike. He fishing now, Just finished watching your flat tyre video, 3 fcked tubes, I know what you wanted to say haha. Anyway a lady & her son watched a Yowie jump straight over that look out, it was going through the bin, they parked out front & walked in,, when it seen them it ran over to the fence, put one hand on the railing & jumped. time they got to the fence & looked over it had landed in a tree & was swinging from branch to branch, I know its hard to believe, but there out there. keep an eye out for them. cheers mate.

@@BradMullProductions yeah Brad agreed. I think everyone has a threshold financially that they aren’t willing to pass. I can’t justify big money for a bike I know for damn sure I’ll drop and scratch whether it’s purchased straight up or banks money. This is one of the reasons that transalp actually appeals to me as well 10-12k second hand does sound much better than a 16-20k t7 or 890.

I'm grateful to Chinese manufacturers CFMoto and Kove for trying to sell us lightweight off road oriented ADV bikes with enough power for highway use. We've begged the Big Moto cartel for a bike like that for decades and they told us to pound sand and buy their bloated and expensive mid and full size adventure bikes. Now, BMW is forced to sell us the F450GS.

Great video mate,those boys did a good job on those big bikes.I was out there that same Sunday a week ago,we came out that gate on ripley road and detectives were there looking for driver of a hit and run that killed a 60 year old rider just around the next corner from the gate at 11.40 am,makes you slow down on those blind corners.google the accident if your interested
