Yay Mark, Jerry and Kevin! Dusty and Marissa thanks for loving Princess Eleanor. She is precious. Dunbar and Hoss were so calm. Good job working with all the bison Dusty. You are so blessed to have such great friends. Speaks volumes about the man you are. I love watching the bison be worked. When Hoss & Dunbar were coming down the lane they looked like dancing partners. Hoss wanted Dunbar to go first.

the Horse seemed calm enough, but was obviously not a "cutting" Horse. Cowboy upon him seemed lacking on how to actually get the Horse to manuever and get the Bison where he wanted them....he looked as though he were there to play "Cowboy", i.e. dressing the part, on horseback, etc. Just glad that he nor anyone else was hurt during this fiasco...

Our Sweet Princess Eleanor is Special. Now knowing her vision is bad, Shes even more Special. Please always watch out for her and take extra special care of Our Princess! We all love her so much! She knows you love her Dusty and She loves you back! Shes so smart and has it all figured out. Happy you got Dunbar n Hoss worked and away from Big Joe! No worries there now! Dunbar has dropped alot of weight the past couple of years! The drought sure didn't help either but all that breeding took a till on him. He needs to be fattened back up! I remember how big he was a couple years or so ago weighing in at 1800+ pounds! He needs to gain about 500 lbs just to catch up a little. How much did Hoss weigh? I didn't hear his weight. He and Dunbar are about the same size looking at them. Pin him up and feed him good along with more dewormer! Looking forward to the next Video! Thank you Doc and Everyone for all your Help with the Bison! God Bless. 🙏❤👏🇺🇸

@glendaroberts5965 I love me some Kevin Costner! But Dusty is the real deal and doesn't have to follow a script! And Dusty doesn't get any "retakes"". He better get it right the first time!! Sorry, Kevin!! But Dusty's got that cowboy swagger for real! (Haven't seen that movie for years ~ think I'll watch that after this ~ thanks for the suggestion Glenda!). Never thought the handsome and talented Mr Costner would take second fiddle to a bison wrangler named " Dusty"!!! 🎀A Nashville, Tennessee Great Grandma
@jeanmm299611 ай бұрын
Holy cow, Dusty! That was....well! Observations: 1. the race setup at the O.G. works so well, where this one has many distractions. There's all covered chute walls, at the OG, less distraction; the race is narrower at the O.G. Not much room for them to corall and turn around. 2. It seemed like there were too many new elements happening, and new helpers; a real lot was going on, and it made it stressful and chaotic, which stressed the animals out. 3. That many animals should be sub-divided the night before so y' all know who-what-where has already been set up. Reduce your variables. And 4., not sure how to address this, but the newer folks helping out, I think there was a higher percentage of newbies to veteran CTBers. That was rough. And communications seemed hampered by all the noise. That hydrolic squeeze is noisy, and the skid steer running around was noisy, too. Kind of feels like y'all went two steps back, in the progress of working these guys. I hope the next half went better for you. A good break and a night off works wonders. Will watch for it, Dusty! I know you try so hard to make it work right. Marisa is really getting more courageous with the animals. I was impressed by her. 😊
@debbiferguson966911 ай бұрын
Agreed. I couldn't figure out why such a late start in the day working Ponderosa bison. Did you start the day working at the OG? Felt like your efforts were a bit out of sync. With you needing to go back to the pen where herd was cut into smaller batches and then return to squeeze shoot, would you being on horseback facilitate working the bison? As you said, each year you learn something. Thank you for bringing us along! Special shout out to Cole for excellent camera, drone work as well as editing then adding music. Looking forward to Part 2. Well done, everyone!

Having eyesight issues explains a lot about her. Marisa is amazing. Pushing Hoss… You’ve changed things up over the last year. I have spent a life time working sheep, cattle. red deer, elk and himilayan tahr and to see you releasing animals from the crush into the service area shocked me. Then I see a lass with a rug rat in the possible danger zone, what the hell were you and Doc thinking Dusty. What if that bull had paniced and got passed Marrisa at that pinch point in the exit race. Does not bare thinking about!!! I am 71 years old and feel blessed to still be here, even with a body sporting injuries to numerous to count and the pain and medication that goes with it. Mostly from accident and failing to identify obvious dangerous situations, so I feel I'm in a good position to comment. Safety, Safety, Safety!!! On a lighter note, the stetson is a good look and is starting to create a character look worthy of your operation. Keep it humble.
