as a man i can never understand a guy going three years lying and then say i was just trying to fine the right time to tell you everything is the biggest lie in itself. as soon as he realized it was a good relationship he should have been honest and not keep it going for so long. a month or two i can understand but not three years. it is hard but in the long run honesty is always the best way. i just started watching this but i get the idea he has no long term goals. he has been pampered and feels he is justified.

I'm so glad you mentioned this. I feel like people are glossing over all the lies he said during their 3 year relationship because they have good chemistry and sweet moments. He lied about needing a new job, not having enough money, his career, where his parents live, where he grew up, and so many other things. And her, being his girlfriend, did so many things to help him do better for himself. For example, making his resume, loaning him money, getting him a job recommendation, helping prepare for interviews, even learning to cook the cuisine he grew up eating. He may not have known her intentions in the beginning, so I understand his need to protect himself, but it's the fact that he lied about other unnecessary things when he had so many oppertunities to come clean. It seems he only felt guilty after being exposed. All of the important information about him and his family were fabricated, so she basically has to start learning him all over again. On top of that, when his father accused her of trying to get information, he didn't even stand up for her. HE put her in that situation in the first place. I would've broken up with him after that. It doesn't matter that he had enough of a consciousness to pay back the money. Trust is a huge part of a relationship, and he broke it. This situation alone was enough to tell me he's too immature for marriage.

This drama is doing a good job of showing to what extent you have to hide your background for three years. I like that it's not simply "he told their parents lived in a different city", he schemed and lied for her to believe him without a doubt. I would never feel comfortable staying with a person that lies so easily to someone they are supposed to love

This drama really puts into perspective the ideologies of how women are expected to be married before 30 or else they start to lose their "youth" aka a nice way of saying value. Which definitely isn't true, a women's value and life doesn't revolve around men or the things they can do/give them. I'm glad Mao clearified that there is no guaranteed age to marry. Even her dad in the previous episode pointed out that getting married should be about their daughter's happiness and not want the mom wants. And I hope her boyfriend not coming to the dinner is a lesson learned for her mom that just because he is rich doesn't mean he is better.
