Geoff's solo videos aren't a capella but he does create all his own backing and sing all the parts, film and edit it all. Yes he does it all, though Eli is normally in charge of the lighting. Geoff has made videos on How To Sing Low, or Very Low. :) He's also recorded himself reading some short stories and poetry. But not the phone book.

Thank you for sharing stories about your family. It's nice to learn more about you, and what a lovely tale. And it's a cool jumper, too! One of Geoff's great strengths as an arranger is his ability to give the song his own distinct spin while still allowing the original to shine through. You can always recognize it, and the elements that made you love it in the first place are still there in some form. Not only that, but Geoff really listens to the lyrics and always manages to nail the emotinal aspects also. He's honestly one of those hidden geniuses- he really should be better known.

🏁 (finish line 😂) You want low? You want REALLY low?! 😂 Geoff’s cover of “Unshaken” 🤯 Edit: oh and if you just want him to talk to you he also has book/poem narrations on his channel too.

I always love two-fers! Thanx for doing both of these. Geoff didn't start doing solo work until Covid shut the world down and Voiceplay had to stop touring. He releases a new one about once a month. Yes, the harmony is all Geoff. Most of the time he shows multiple shots of himself singing the harmony, there've only been a few where they aren't represented at all. Try his version of Shenandoah, an old American folk song. It is so beautiful and soothing!!

Yes all background vocals are Geoff (or his clones) 😊 The best way I've heard Sound of Silence is the Original version was the warning Disturbed's version was the anger for not heading the warning and Geoff's is the sorrow after the anger, but there is still hope. With his solo stuff he can explore both ranges and all five octaves in between. Don't worry about the length of your videos, just enjoy and if you have to start over or feel your pausing too much. We're with you and enjoying every moment. You're going to love Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold and I See Fire (both songs are from the Hobbit Movies) Stay safe and happy 😊

Geoff makes a great effort to be clear in his pronouncing of his words, I believe, because his wife, Kathy, suffers from profound hearing loss. He did a wonderful video all about her hearing loss. You might like to see it. You might enjoy hearing Home Free and their bass singer named Tim Foust. They are known as a country a cappella group, but in reality they do all kinds of music.

Geoff plays the piano on a number of his solo works - he's played since he was a child. He also uses plug-ins on his keyboard for the accompaniment instruments on his videos - and of course, he sings all of the parts!

All Geoff. Fun Geoff in his cover of Elvis song Way Down. It's the video where he named his clones. You will see them on the name tags. Goff, Jeff, Jeoph. He added Daryl in his cover of Ghost Riders In The Sky.

It's a rare Geoff number that doesn't have at least a few very low bass drops. But the rest of his vocal range is also beautiful.

Thank you for sharing about your father and your life. Beautiful. Geoff uses his voice in service to the music - so sometimes it's low, and occasionally, not so much. But it's always, always beautiful. He has impeccable taste.

13:42 Try Geoff's Take Me Home Country Road! It shows his range well! Also try his newest, You Don't Mess Around With Jim! And yes, when it is his solo stuff, every voice is Geoff! And thank you!😉

Geoff is very talented and has about a 5 octave range. He plays the piano and the harmonica (see his cover of Folsom Prison Blues) and uses plug ins for the instruments he doesn't play. For Sound of Silence, Eli (Voiceplay's rock tenor extraordinaire) did the lighting; and Layne (Voiceplay's VioLayne and beatboxer) ran steadicam. This was filmed at PattyCake Productions, which is co-owned by Layne and Tony (a former Voiceplay member)

This sounds like a great way to start my day - both of these are so great! Love the story you told of your dad and the jumper you had for him. I need to look in the mirror and read the lyrics. Geoff has some gorgeous work - some that I love especially - Jack's Lament, I See Fire, Till Then, Ain't No Sunshine, Way Down, Man of Constant Sorrow, Unshaken, Ghost Riders in the Sky, and Blackbird. If you want to listen to a relatively new one The Bass Gang - last year they tried to get together for the first time. Peter Barber and Bobby Bass are in the US, Tomi P is in the Czech Republic, and Marwan Ayman is in Egypt - all basses. They did a 4 song set last year - Arabian Nights (Marwan as lead), Be Prepared (Tomi P), Gaston (Peter), and A Friend Like Me (Bobby). It was delightful but Marwan couldn't get to the Czech Republic because of visa issues, so he had to find a place, a camera crew, a dancer, and communications to the other 3 guys doing their parts in the Czech Republic. He did a great job.

More bassy Acapella: TheBassGang and almost all their members have solo channels ... my favourite bass singer from them is Marwan but it's very close, they're all so talented

Description of many of his videos says: "Arranged, Produced, Filmed, Performed and Edited by Geoff Castellucci" Of course: backing vocals = him. Great reaction, see you in the next one!

Loved the two-fer! Yes, all the voices on Geoff's channel are Geoff. All the people are Geoff, other than an occasional cameo by his wife Kathy. Eli sometimes helps with lighting design, like in Unshaken. (Which is kind of a prequel to Ghost Riders in the Sky.) Layne sometimes helps with steadicam, like Man of Constant Sorrow, Ain't No Sunshine, and its polar opposite, Way Down, an Elvis cover. For Geoff and VP videos, watch with captions on and keep watching until the Patreon list scrolls. If you want to explore other a cappella groups, try Home Free. They call themselves country but they sing a little bit of everything and can make you laugh or cry. You'll also enjoy their bass, Tim Foust. He has a five octave range, like Geoff. And a similar sense of humor. Check out his original composition that HF performs, Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget. The unofficial sequel is a Christmas tune, Full of Cheer. Their baritone, Adam Chance, used to sing bass for another group. Check out his original song, Skull and Bones. He wrote it for a video game by that name. Watch the version with the guys in costume as pirates.

another great reaction! here is one suprising fact for you: Geoff has often said that he does not consider himself a bass singer but as a low tenor with an extended bass range.

For a peek at his fun side you might want to watch "Way Down" he definitely let his goof flag fly in that one. However my personal favorite at any given time is "Saddle Up". Other commenters have mentioned "Home Free" , but "The Bass Gang" are all bass singers. To prepare for the next Voiceplay release you might like to listen to VP's "Hall of The Mountain King" ...and we all get distracted especially by Geoff 😇😂 Most of us diehards like the longer reactions going on about one of our favorite subjects. *edited because cat on the keyboard😺

I really enjoyed this reaction as I do all of your reactions, He is so very good loved this song by him. Since your loving his low range singing if you want to be blown away there is only one person that could do that for you she is Russian and has the deepest voice for a woman that you have ever heard in your life. Her Name is Diana Ankudinova and the song to listen to is "Cant help Falling in Love" yes the Elvis song and she also does a cover of Wicked Game at the age of 15 that will rival this one. if your up for the challenge check her out.

by the way you should definately check out the Bass Gang they are a four person group and all are bass singers from around the world, they are Tomi.P from checkoslovakia, Bobby Baas from the USA, Peter Barber also from the USA and Marwan Ayman from Egypt due to there widespread locations all of there recordings are made seperately and then combined and often mixed by Marwan who also conceives the videos for them, Peter Barber is also a You Tube reactor and opera singer he reacts to a lot of videos by voiceplay, geoff and groups like that and goes into depth on the type of techniques used in the way they sing, all of the other members have their own channels and solo careers as well their Brand manager is Casper Fox who is also a singer and has his own reaction channel and he has also performed with the Bass Gang on occasion

I dont know if youve done any Pentatonix reactions, but if you love a capella, they are the best IMO. They also did sound of silence. And theyre latest version if Oh Holy night is just out of this world amazing!! If you've need heard them, a great start if their Hallelujah official video! They've only had on band member change and their bass has his own channel too.

There is now a term for the faces we all make when listening to Geoff. It is called Bass Face, lol! If you haven't checked out Bass Gang yet you definitely should. It is a whole acapella group that all have incredible ranges and they all can get super low. I also stayed to the end. Most of us Voiceplayers don't mind long videos :D

I could listen to Geoff humm all night long. I know I could never have the real Geoff but I would settle for a life like doll of him. I would have him sitting in a comfy chair next to my bed humming to me all night long while I sleep.❤ Of course out of respect for Kathy I wouldn't put him in my bed.
